    Do you have a complete course for every topic (4G and 5G) that we can take? I like how you explain everything clearly, you're a great teacher.

    Thanks, good explain, but please share your idea reagrding using short DRX for volte QCI 1

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому

      Considering the fact that VoLTE already uses a very small DRX cycle of 20 to 40ms with a packet interval of 20ms, so I do not think that short DRX cycle will give much gain

    Apologies for multiple queries.
    1=> There will be drxinactivity timer as well in case UE detects PDCCH and UE will be in wake-up state for a bit more longer to receive retransmitted packet, is it ignored here for simplicity purpose?
    2=> Regarding the example of Apple Handsets, TTI Bundling was assumed to be enabled right?
    3=> In TTI Bundling Threshold modification, there is a possibility of two distinct packets being sent as well?
    4=> Can this be said that with Delay Based Scheduling, good CQI packet can also get scheduled because delay is calculated purely based on packet stay in buffer and nothing to do with CQI but on most of the occasions it will be the poor CQI packet having higher delay in the buffer.
    5=> Delay Based Scheduling is more suited to VoLTE Packet but is this best scheduling scenario for Data Packets?

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому

      1. Yeah for the sake of simplicity, it was ignored.

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому

      2. Yeah TTI Bundling should always be enabled in commercial networks

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому

      3. Yeah different packets can be sent

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому

      4. This is quite possible as well because delay is the most important parameter in this case.

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому

      5. Delay Based is good for any service which has a lower Packet Delay Budget. Since data packets do not have a low PDB so it might not be the best algorithm choice for data packets.

    Hi, i have a question, you just point out kn video that there is retransmission packet for qci1, why? I suppose that there should not be any retransmir because of UM transmission

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  11 місяців тому

      QCI1 retransmissions are on HARQ. The UM mode is on RLC and hence, there are no retransmission on RLC for QCI1 but there will still be retransmissions at HARQ layer (MAC/PHY) for QCI1 traffic.

    • @raminsabzalizade4629
      @raminsabzalizade4629 11 місяців тому +1

      So it means several copies of data is transmitted on air which is harq concept, without considering tti bundling, am i right ? This could reduce bler alot

      @@raminsabzalizade4629 Yes that is correct.

    First of all thank you so much for a very descriptive and easy explanation. So the main reason for improving UL quality/UL BLer/delay after enabling SINR/BLER based TTI bundling with a higher value for instance (SINR-7), will actually help UE to go into non DRX/always ON mode, and take advantage of non-DRX state as well .. Since they are mutually exclusive..right?

    • @OurTechPlanet
      @OurTechPlanet  3 роки тому +1

      Yeah, it helps in quality improvement :)
