Good video!! I had to make 8 more drags this afternoon. I use alot of drags on coyotes. I have over 4 dz drag setups. Mb 550 650 Bridger #2 offset 4 coil dogless. The Bridger # 2 offset 4 coil dogless i like using them. I use Bridger #5 coil and dlp # 5's for beaver.

@@lobopropredatorcontrol Got back last night. We all saw good bulls but couldn't close the deal. My wife had the best chance on a wide 6x6 but he caught her flat footed with her bow 5 feet away. Didn't see much wolf sign where we were which was good.
I don't think I'll be selling any but I sure wish you and Johnny the best on your lines. If it doesn't cool off down here I'm headed back north, it's 10:38 and still in the triple digits
Very impressive! I'm in Salmon, Idaho, what part are you in? (Don't pin point it, just general area). What type lure/bait are you having the best luck with? I've only caught one so far. A black female a few years ago Hoping to change that this season.
@@lobopropredatorcontrol I've heard that works pretty well. In fact, Paul Antzak (Montana Wolf Trapper, here on You Tube) Is actually selling it. He has caged fox and I think it's mostly from them. I know a guy that uses some from his hunting hounds too.
@@lobopropredatorcontrol perfect, just curious because iv had a few people tell dont use them wolfs will bend them an wont hold, I ended up making my own this year, I have to admit I'm jealous your season starts already, doesn't start here in mt till December 15th any how best of luck this year an thanks for the videos iv learned a lot from them
@@lobopropredatorcontrol I have camera traps out on wolf sets without traps....checked them today and I had 5 separate people on my cameras. Grouse hunters I think? As much as I want to set traps now before the ground freezes, I think it's too soon. Too many people in the woods still with dogs. Pelts aren't very good yet either.
Im a disabled vet trying to learn to trap. I dont have anyone or know anyone that can lend a hand. So I haven't started yet. I passed the test and everything. But I dont even know what I'm gonna need to start or the techniques to actually help be successful at it so I'm not wasting my time.
Thanks for your service! What branch? I’m a busted up SeaBee myself. Are you in Idaho? The Idaho trappers association is putting on a fur sale in March the weekend of the 11-13 I believe and they have great demos and stuff for sale too! It’s in Glens Ferry and definitely worth the drive
It would be fun to do during the off season, I still need to do my research on regulations learn what’s legal, can you possibly do a video on the regs and how to get registered to trap?
@ER TREESERVICE this coming weekend down in Glenn's Ferry Idaho trappers association is having a fur sale and I believe they are doing a wolf trapping class you have to take to get a license, you also need to take trappers Ed like getting a hunting license but when I slow down I could probably do a video

Very nice, I ran MB’s 550 soft catch down in Arizona and really like that trap
I'm new to Idaho this year can't trap this year. Can't wait to see how u do it. I'm in northern idaho
Love what you do from Arizona
Thank you so much for trapping wolves in Idaho. They need to be managed better.
You bet
How do you gauge trap pan tention? 10lbs.
Good videos, love the NoBs Wolf extreme
They sale a trap tool that marks the pounds when the trap fires, in Idaho we don't have the 10 pound requirement so I just use my thumb
You never showed up the modified double long springs. Would really like to see those.
I'll try to make a video on that, I still have some to do
Good Luck on your wolf trapping this year . 🐺
Got 4 so far, looking to be a blessed year
Good luck bro. Love the channel. Getting ready to start setting to the north of ya
Hey thanks! Tight chains
Great video . What are using for weight to set you 10+ wolf traps ? Thanks
I use 10’ of chain to a drag with 3 wolf swivels
No , I ment what do you set on your trap pan to get the 10 lbs of weight to set them up ?
