People don't understand that trappers have to make a living, they usually use the meat or someone they know does, they keep populations down so they don't explode and turn the forest barren, and you ain't running around getting *enjoyment* out of killing the animals (or you would've killed this baby). I respect you and I do not hunt, and probably couldn't bring myself to unless I was starving. I do like fishin', though. Thank you, from the great north woods of Maine

You gave him a second chance! Its sad and not trying to be negative but odds are when this deer grows up it will be hunted and its life will be taken. Really unfortunate because this animal deserves to live a happy life after this. And so does the man!

Trappers get such a bad rep even though 99% of the guys into it have nothing but good intentions and understand what predators do, Especially to a little fella like that who wouldn't stand a chance against a yote or a bobcat. people don’t understand us predator trappers trap so we have deer, turkeys and small game around especially where i’m from there’s not any predators of coyotes and stuff so the few i take out every season is just balancing the predator to prey balance in the ecosystem

I know his intentions are good. However, he is a hunter. Imagine 2 years later, he kills a deer and it turns out to be this one. He never even knew it.

Mama will take care of her fawn. People don’t realize that when they see a fawn without mama, it’s because the fawn didn’t stay put as told by mama. She will be back for her baby

there have been many baby deer recuses and raised by their rescuer after the mother was either never located or died and when the deer was old enough to go on its own they release it into the wild and they go onto live a normal deer life......also there are wildlife rescue sanctuaries out there that will take in wild animal babies....
