Me - Presses play, first thing I see on screen is an Irish flag hanging on a cabin door ! I love La Rochelle, beautiful port & place to visit in France. Loving this series.
It really is! We were pleasantly surprised as that port was advertised as 'Bordeaux'. It was quite a distance to Bordeaux and so we rolled the dice with La Rochelle - my goodness it was beautiful. We can't imagine that Bordeaux would have offered anything more. We were rewarded again with just wondering around town. Such a medieval little town.
Your European voyage from the past is so enjoyable, I'm watching daily while on the jogging on the treadmill, lol (Jeff makes me climb something every day of our trips so I have to keep up. But no bikes or scooters for me) La Rochelle looks so stunning, and so did the pastries :D Love Europe so much, especially when the church/town bell rings throughout the day. So happy you guys got to see this gem.
That's awesome! La Rochelle was a wonderful surprise. We thought we were missing something by staying in Rochelle instead of going to into Bordeaux - until we walked into this walled city and fell in love. We'd go back in a heart beat and do it all over again!
Another great vlog and La Rochelle is beautiful! It's like a postcard and is exactly what I picture in my mind when I think of a French port. Beautiful dresses today Jill and I meant to mention I absolutely loved the dress you wore in the vlog prior to this, the colour was so lovely! Thanks for sharing your vacation with us!
Loved La Rochelle! Your snack looked so yummy, especially being so reasonable. Sorry that you don't have your Crown Royal, Jerry. Jill, your drinks all looked so good, will have to try some new ones myself next cruise, as I tend to stick with more familiar ones.
Well that's wonderful news!!! We heard that earlier in summer there was no Crown on that ship. Hopefully by July 2023 it'll still be there - when we take that ship to Alaska
It was an ideal way to do Europe for sure. We couldn't imagine trying to book the same on a land-based trip . 26 cities, 12 countries over 35 days and getting between them all on land would be nearly impossible - whereas with a ship, it was easy!
We did get crown on HAL in March, but we did hear from folks on early-Summer cruises to Alaska that there was NO Crown. We've heard rumours it's back and we'll confirm in March. Hopefully the rumour of a Crown-shortage was all it was. Fingers crossed.

This stop was lovely, as was Jill’s dress!

What a lovely town is La Rochelle. Good for you guys for walking so much. And I'm loving all of Jill's 43 dresses (or was it more?). Great vlog.

Thanks!!! Yes it was a beautiful spot and we wish we had more time to stop and enjoy a glass/bottle of wine as well.

We were so surprised by La Rochelle - it was like stepping back in time. A wonderful day for sure!
Thanks for another great vlog!
I am so excited for France!!
Our Paris vlog is a week away. Then we do Cannes and Corsica in the NCL cruise out of Rome. Lot's of France to come!
Koningsdam had Crown in the bars and restaurants on our Alaska cruise in august 🥃

Thank you!!
My husband went for whisky tasting and ended up with Rye tasting on HAL last month. I thought of you! 😂
We haven’t tried that yet! How was it?
I thought you did get Crown on Holland?
