@Brad. Yes there are two original members. Carl Giammarese singing lead here (not his original position, that was Dennis Fortuna) and Nick Fortuna on bass. If you're any kind of fan of 60's music and you get the chance, do yourself a favor and go see them. You'll be amazed at the show they put on and the passion they still have. They've surrounded themselves with some very talented musicians and put on one heck of show.
Ralph, Thanks for the upload. It's a shame that Dennis Tufano left the group. Giammarese tries, but does not have anywhere the singing talent or stage presence of Tufano. I have seen them from time to time and it just seems that Carl is trying to channel Tufano in his singing. It is a good show but just misses the mark. As least for me.
Kinda agree...Carl does a fine job and is really affable towards the audience, but I've seen them several times over the past decade or so, and I still would love to see Dennis Tufano rejoin the group. I have always agreed that without the voice, looks, charisma and stage presence of Dennis, The Buckinghams would have never had the success that they did. Says alot, since they all were so very young at the height of their popularity. I had a crush on him as a pre-teen back then, and always thought he was the cutest!
nothing is ever as good as the original, but we of the 60's generation are fortunate that many of the groups of that era are still playing those tunes we fell in love with and that became part of us ,and our memories of that golden era, though most of the bands now may have a very few members of the original band, and yes the music may be played a bit differently ,but 60's music is always good.
Where's Dennis ? He was / is the original lead singer ..Carl does a good job here .. Now they are together again Been on the road separately , and as Tufano & Giamarese ...
I have gone through most of the Buckinghams videos on UA-cam. This one video in my opinion is the best of all with its sound quality and musicianship. Great video.
Mullet,mullet,mullet!!
