  • In county jails across America, officers deal with all sorts of inmates from drunk and disorderly to combative suspects. Officers are forced to restrain an uncooperative suspect and throw him into an isolation cell for his own safety. Downtown, a female suspect cries out and refuses to cooperate until she is wheeled away in the restraint chair. Meanwhile, inmates look out for one-another after they alert a guard to an unconscious inmate on the floor.
    Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.

    Why would you get 30 days solitary for defending yourself? I understand starting the fight, but what are you supposed to do exactly if you didn't start it?

      I agree with you. And I feel the same. I do love both the shows Cops and Jail overall. But I prefer to watch the cops tv show over the jail tv show anytime.

    Joleta was talking to someone quietly and went and complied with getting fingerprints done while the officer said she was acting up. She was fine she just had that walk that girls get after the street and drugs have hurt them. She is frustrated, mad at herself, ashamed, does not know how to stop and sad.

      So it's ok to act stupid because she had a rough life. John gacy had a rough child hood so it's ok that he killed 30 plus people....

    I think they use the major restraints as punishment sometimes - past the point that’s needed to control them

    The thing about the first video is that the officers wouldn't tell her why she was there. She behaved badly but maybe if the had answered her question she might have calmed a bit. JMO

      Two things: First, I hope you never get arrested in a country where there are a thousand ways to get arrested. Second: It is called justice. Maybe you didn't understand the beginning. People are considered innocent until a judge determines guilt. And every convicted person must at least have the hope of being able to lead a life in freedom again at some point. That's how it is here in Germany.

    I’m sorry, but telling anyone to ‘relax’ in these situations seems ridiculous.

    • @Idnewelad
      @Idnewelad Місяць тому +4

      Only if you're a drunk or druggie. Normal people are "relaxed."
      Once they come down off of their highs and drunkeness, they relax as you've seen.

      Often ridiculous to people who are drunk, high or lack any ability of self control. Refusing to receive a calm word and only know how to react with anger and violence. It’s unfortunate for everyone involved. Truly hope everyone receives kindness, and joy someday in their life. 💙

    We never get Virginia's story. That bothers me because usually one officer will explain to another what they actually did on scene to get them brought in and it is kept from us. She said something about her husband doing something on purpose to get her arrested but we never hear either version and that is unusual and makes me want to believe maybe she does not deserve to be there. Nobody will just tell her what she did. All they say is we told you. I never saw one person explain to her why she was there and not knowing was what was agitating her. Now if they had told her four or five times like some of them then I would get it, but nobody will answer her and if by some chance they told her before and she was drunk, she is plenty sober when they take her picture and try to print her to comprehend charges but nobody will answer her. It's very odd and frustrated me to see them all ignore her instead of just answer and calm her down so she knows. I do not believe they ever told her anything at the jail and the arresting officer may have refused as well. I have seen it on these shows it would not be a first. She is to frustrated to by lying about not being told. Also Numerically it is impossible everyone in jail is guilty. Last count I heard was one in every 115 adults on the US are incarcerated for something. Sounds like cha ching!!!!! Facilities get paid by the body. Just the fact that at the end the cop was asking her did she remember resisting the officers and she said what did I do to be brought in the first place and he asked her are you going to comply instead of answering her tells me she has not been told yet. And is she going to comply to what? She is strapped in a chair that is as compliant as you can get.

    She is asking a reasonable question WHY IS SHE AREESTED!! i would ask the same question WHY??? You can't just answer her?

    • @redlexus04
      @redlexus04 Місяць тому +5

      Because she wasn't just asking she was screaming at them and she was drunk. There is no use in trying to reason with a drunk. If you noticed she was fighting them and so red in the face she could do nothing but yell. If she would have only asked more calmly, she would have gotten her answer.

    Michael DeNiro does not like being in a controlled environment he likes to be the one to control the environment and there is a huge difference. He enjoys it a little to much. He appears calm but watch him closely when giving his quiet controlled commands. He wishes there were no cameras and he has intense inner struggle with not doing more to the inmates because of the cameras and thank God they are there for many of these inmates that would be treated much differently if they were not.
