Bad Ass Amplifier. Very Hi-Quality and Very reliable. Will drive super hard & never give you any issues. Just like Phoenix Gold ZX amps & Zapco Z series amps, these Surge Audio amps go crazy HARD! Been in car audio for 30+ years & believe me, these are VERY Impressive!

I like the way this amp looks and very underrated.
Its very sleek and smooth
It's a beautiful amp but at one 1ohm dynamic it doesn't beat the Tarramp 3K results of 5363 several years back. But I would still choose the surge. it's way better built amp.
Built better looking vs actual output is two different things though... It's a nice amp having it in my car right now trying it out but taramps Smart 3 I also have is just on a different level of output. The surge sounds nice though and clean
Smart 3 is just in its own league. JP 23 and 33 included.. Taramps just on a whole nother level man

Getting these amps that do over rated power is great , HOWEVER , for those unaware of these amp dyno's to see how massively underated some are . Will definitely blow the heck out of their set ups.. personally i would like them over by 100 or so ,just not 500 plus
Power doesn't kill subs. If you can't hear your sub bottoming out you deserve blown gear.
@@ah4800 ummm yeah... Totally not what i was talking about... Im talking someone new to the audio game and say pitting a d4s amp on their front and rears that does up to 200 to 300 watts over will blow their speakers when they crank them up the first few times.
@thebreakbarrelshow oh I guess my mids rated at 125rms being powered by a 500rms per channel amp should have blew up 2 years ago then. If they can't set their gains properly or hear distortion and bottoming out they have bigger problems.
@thebreakbarrelshow This is how you learn having power on tap is what you want.
If u set ur gains correctly in the first place u won't have over powering issues.

They’ve been doing it for awhile now. I’m running a soundqubed s1-2250.1 that I’ve had for over a year that is a Korean design built in China. It’s been a great amp and does close to 3000 watts

Resilient Sounds and Surge Audio should team up and become one brand. Resilient Sounds don't build amplifiers and Surge don't make subwoofers so that would be nice if both brands become one.

U can buy a strait chinese built korean design just like this but way lower price and built 3 times beefier way more caps than this way more power supply section and output
Id like to ask colin how close these are to the skar rp swried and jp chinese amps. I assume they are more similar to the jp amps? The jp and these looks way better than the skar rp line.

Hey just an update you have the amp installed in your system yet... Has it "caught fire" I keep hearing a lot of that of they catch fire on Down4sound
Both of mine have been great and I have not personally heard of any issues. Take things with a grain of salt though. A lot of things you hear on the internet are not true so just make sure the information is indeed true and accurate.

Why didnt they put bass boost on this one but they did on the 4k?
Not sure but most people don’t use bass boost so maybe that’s why they left it out. Idk

I love the size of the mt2000 but I’ve gotten mine to go into a protect a couple times and it comes right back out a couple seconds later? I’m not sure if it’s because I’m clipping the sun a little bit at that point it’s protecting because Iam pretty much clipppnt asking hell from the electronics! But still it is a warm when it goes in and out of protect so idk what to do keep it or wait for one of these 🤷🏼♂️
But I need to look in the manual and see what the colors and lights indicate exactly because it could be preottcting itself due to the fact also that my car has the lightest alternator option that was available for it’s time due to being the racing package body so it could be that it’s not getting the power it’s requesting from my poor 80amp alternator and it’s protecting my car moreso 😅
@@onesikm3 I also unfortunately have an 80 amp stock alternator but I run 2400 watts RMS on my system. I do have an optima yellowtop under the hood, the big 3 upgrade, and a second optima yellowtop by my amplifier. The second yellowtop really really helped my voltage.
You seem to do alot of test on amp and know what's good and not so good. So you think this amp is definitely a winner? It's so crazy to think you can get this amp thats a Korean 3k for $299 and the other 3k I was looking at was the Salt 3 which is $1119. Guess it's crazy to think something must be different which I'm sure the salt is built a little better and really marked up for the name like others. But I do like the salt does power at 12.8v instead of 14.4v but that doesn't justify a $800 difference lol. What you think hifi?
This amp model is there budget model so it’s Korean design but made in China. There other more expensive models are made in Korea. But yea surge are very good amps .
@HiFiVector cool, well I don't mind paying for a good quality amp which is why I was considering the Salt 3 amp. I was also looking at that Synergy WFO 3.1 amp seemed pretty legit. If you had to choose would you still go with the Surge PL3000.1 amp? You think there's any sound difference between the amps or is some jus built a little better then others to which is why the price is so much higher? That's why I didn't wanna go with the taramps smart 3 it jus looks cheaply made and seems to be fullbridge which I rather half bridge and it is alot cheaper and I always thought you really get what you pay for.
Careful that's heavy duty countries intro song but you're probably safe just saying. I kind of wish I would have gone with this instead of the smart but I couldn't wait until December. Take that back his song at end of videos

What Made you swap the taramps out with surge??
I change amps and subs weekly because I test a lot. But yes my smart 5 Bass is kinda my go to. I like the way it sounds.the surge 3k I like a lot. The surge 4k is smoother sounding like the jp33 but I like the punch my smart 5 has.

I would be willing to bet money those are built in the same build house as the JP amps, same bass knob, plexi bottom, well built and good power.
I wish they would make a 2k, I like this amp alot but don't need that much power.
They are definitely it’s S&I in Korea normally but Vector said these are built in china using a Korean design to save money. The smaller d4s amps are built in china too so maybe the smaller ones are built at the same place in china too.

That’s not true at all man unfortunately, you got scammed by somebody else on UA-cam. I even said in the video that I was going to announce the winner on a video which I did so it sucks that you got scammed but that’s what happened. I did one giveaway, go back and watch the video where I announce the winner, and I ship the giveaway to the free of charge. So again no one ever sent any money to me and I never requested it.
