About the wonderswan game's flashing, the Wonderswan screen blurred a bit between frames just like the game boys, so instead of flashing it'd look more like a transparent overlay. This was a somewhat common technique in gameboy games too.

The anime was produced by BeeTrain, the same studio that animated .hack roots (which I still do not understand to this day because it is such a mess story telling wise). And while I agree that the anime has plenty of weak points, I still enjoyed it a lot. Mostly because I like the games, and the anime has a lot of recognizable characters and scenes, while also expanding on some ideas that weren't in the games. But outside of that, I think most people who don't know the games probably also wouldn't enjoy the anime. 🤷♂️
Speaking of questionably made JRPGs with an equally questionable anime, I wanna see you review Sands of Destruction one of these days. But that's more of me lusting for Morte (she's also the only 'good' character in that trainwreck, and I'm using good very loosely).
I think if I could tolerate anime when it's good, it would've been a different story. Being subject to mediocre stuff when you already aren't too fond of the medium is a tough sell.
I know this is not about the video, but dude, where'd re:digitize decoded? It's a entire different and waaaaay better game, and the english patch is already complete
I played it a while back and it felt exactly the same. All of my complaints were more or less the same, it just had more Digimon. I don't feel it did enough to justify a new video, it'd either be really short, or re-treading things I've already said, so I just didn't do one.
@@Caspicum what?
