This! This is how a tribute is done. I’m utterly speechless for how beautiful this turned out. This movie is now 20 years old. But nonetheless it was the best of it’s creation. Nothing can compare to it. Just like everyone else I am very sad that this movie didn’t get what it deserved, attention and admiration for what it is, it’s not just another movie, it was a masterpiece far greater than anything before it. John reznik’s voice took a huge role in the soundtrack, producing the most iconic and memorable pieces from the film. “I’m still here” and “Always know where you are”. These original performances adding to emotional depth and character development of Jim and Silver’s relationship. “I’m still here”, explored the flashbacks of Jim’s life growing up without his father and how it affect not only his mother but himself as well, leading up to the moment his father left and never returned…the song shed light on his inner loneliness and misguidance, the world constantly weighing on his shoulders and judging him for his every action. But as the movie ends “Always know where you are” we sense the feelings of gratitude for Silver and his tough love that brought Jim out of the throughs of a fatherless teenager and shaped him into a young man. A man he could be proud of.
I’ve always loved this movie mainly silver as many would’ve guessed. I never really had a good relationship with my dad because he was always working in the military. So no he wasn’t some dead beat that ran off but still we never really had anything in common. I’ve seen him make attempts to connect with me but I was unaffected by them. It was standard dad stuff like for my 14th birthday he texted me a reddit link saying what to expect when going into adulthood and that made me more pressured than anything. But my grandpa, he’s really something. When I first watched this movie Silver reminded me so much of my grandpa and not just physically. My grandpa is a kidder heal always tries to make me laugh and genuinely loves having fun. He likes playing video games same as me and since he was born in the 1900s he was glad to to tell me (someone who is very curious about those times) all about it. Honestly I’ve bonded with my grandpa more than I ever have with my dad. And while I’m glad I have this special thing with my grandpa I still hope me and my dad can find a connection at some point.
This is so emotional. I love it. This movie was my Childhood. This is Beautiful! I can't even Explain how much I love this! Everyone has The Makings of Greatness, so never be afraid to Rattle the Stars.
Thank God this exists. This film was a part of my childhood and this beautifully sums up the film perfectly with the editing, the use of I'm Still Here and choices of what lines to use as it all shows how much of a fantastic film this is. And this makes me more mad at Disney for how they treated in regards to the marketing and release.
This is an absolutely beautiful tribute to a childhood film to many. It saddens me that people didn't give this film the appreciation that it deserves for the character development of Jim Hawkins and John Silver's relationship as a father/son/friend figures as well as the story line.
I’m surprised their aren’t any comments on this video yet. This is a really beautiful tribute to this underrated masterpiece of a movie. Amazing job man 😊
Best.Treasure Planet Tribute. EVVVVVEEEEERRRR!!!!!!! Thank you for giving me a reason why this movie will always be one of my favorites of all of Disney! This film is a real cinematic treasure of my planet and your tribute to it is completely out of this world.
OMG!!! SOO GOOD! I've been a big fan of the movie, especially Mr. dreamy Hawkins. It's not just a great movie, it influenced me to taking drawing seriously. 7 years later, I'm a better artist than I was when I started the journey all because of Jim and this movie
Treasure Planet was a big part of my life when growing up. I’d rent a 2-pack DVD set that included this and Atlantis nearly every time we went to our local video shop. Seeing this tribute brought me to tears, seeing one of my favourite adventures in one heartfelt video. I hope you feel proud of your edit, as you should be, and keep on plotting your own course. Thank you, truly.
You put Jim losing his father, one of his lowest points, side by side with his moment of triumph, touching the portal to the spaceport and saving the crew! Along with Silver's words of encouragement! AHHHH that made my chest fill with happiness!
Man this video gets me emotional. So good! I only recently found out Treasure Planet didn't sell well and was shocked. Shocked and disappointed. Anyway, this an incredible video for an amazing movie.
It's the best Treasure Planet tribute ever ! Thank you for this wonder, it's amazing ! You had pefectly catched the essence and the epicness of the movie. Hope that it will convince more people to watch it. My favorite Disney forever !
Of course this comes up in my recommended 5 years later. I spent the 20th anniversary (yesterday for me now) rewatching this brilliant film for the billionth time. Love this video as a trailer, better than the official ones we got that spoilt the whole film lmao.
The original trailer spoiled everything that’s mostly why it failed and it come out during the time Harry Potter was released. They should have released it at a better time maybe then the movie would have been successful
Man this came out way before its time, It should have been released in 2024 LMAO they would have made a killing. This is the type of content that fits perfects into our sc-fi / adventure landscape people are really into nowadays.
I can feel the love for this movie poured into every cut of this tribute. Fuck, I'm getting all emotional. 15 years on, and TP is still my favorite Disney movie to this day. I firmly hope that it'll get all of the love that it deserves the further down the line we go. It should be regarded as a cult classic, if not just a classic outright. ;_;
*"You're something special Jim, You're gonna rattle the stars, You are!"*
😭😭😭😢😢😢😢
It makes me sad that this doesn't have the attention it should, kinda like the movie itself. Both are so amazing.

Disney should've had you make the trailer, maybe the film would've been more successful!
LittleBark Yeah. Then it would’ve had a sequel.
The original trailer spoiled everything that’s mostly why it failed and it come out during the time Harry Potter was released. They should have released it at a better time maybe then the movie would have been successful
Disney fell out with the movie producers, they they advertised it badly on purpose to guarantee its failure, but to me... it will never be a failure
Can't believe I haven't seen this video before.
I heard there is a live remake of this masterpiece in 2022 dont know if its true
This hits harder now that this movie turned 20 this year
20years ago…
