Fantastic !
Excellent footage!👍 You are happy, your skiing season has only started. BTW, I have Atomic Vantage as well, though 80 CTI and they are really great! 80 is pretty enough for groomed slopes.
Thanks for the nice comments. Yes the season just started and because Covid I missed the whole last season. Even now we’re on and off lockdown here in Australia. For example this past weekend all mountains in my state were closed down and no one was able to travel there being in lockdown. Fingers crossed there will be some more good skiing days coming up. The skis performed really well but not on icy parts expectedly. Looking for more powder to truly try the 97.
That was the first time I had the camera mounted on my chest and I didn’t check the footage until I finished skiing and realised that as much as the camera pointed forward when I was standing up right, once you start skiing and lean forward, the camera looks down. Lesson learnt. All my ski videos recoded after this one the 2022 video and some 2021 are all much better. The cam orientation is way better.
Oh noooo, I’m sure you had loads of fun on your mtb though. The snow will last a wile longer and there’s always next season. Take care and don’t worry you’ll have better days. The snow comes back every year.
Hey bro! Nice skiing, I want to buy these atomic, what can you say about them? I heard, they are tough and comfortable only for heavy people, but it was a review on 2018-2019 model, maybe the new ones are different
They are the easiest skis to ski with I ever had. Just a few turns and they feel naturally easy, they are not the type of skis that need a few laps to get used to (like my Redster 2022 X9S ). Been on different type of snow and they are performing great. Except ice. Good sharp edges but not carving skis. They are as they say all mountain skis, good in quite a few different environments. So much stability and forgiven, a few mistakes and they won’t throw you off like carving skis. My Redster took me half a day of getting used to. They demand perfection at high speed. Vantage TI 97 feel like you’re skiing on butter or something, just “easy and fun skis” I’d say. They like plenty of snow, if you don’t have much snow, maybe go for 80, otherwise 97. These ones are 172 and I’m 174cm tall, so with my boots on just 4cm shorter than me. If you’re above intermediate, I’d recommend getting the same, your height. Good speed, easy turns, forgiven, easy to get used to, great on a bunch of different environment except super icy and pretty light for the size of them. Hope this helps.
I feel your pain, I feel like I just managed to squeeze in that trip as last weekend was closed and this weekend again. I have a trip lined up in 3 weeks time to Mt Hotham so I’m praying that things will be open up again by then. Hope you’ll find a gap between Covid sessions to go burn some energy on the mountain. Take care and fingers crossed
I wouldn’t be surprised, quite a few people there and the weather was nice and clear so the footage is quite clear. Try it on a 4K TV if you can, might see more details. Can’t wait to go there again this season! We have snow already!

cant wait to go back up after lockdown. its snowed heaps
They really should add the gondolas back on Northside express, bit sad they removed them.
Enjoy your weekend! 1 2 3 Go !
I remember seeing somebody drop his phone and my family shouting at him.
While we were on the lifts going to the 4th area or whatever it is.
@@toffsyvrgaming6618 did you hear your family shout in my video? That would be interesting.
@@aussiegeekrider No, we went like a month ago.
@@toffsyvrgaming6618 gotcha. Great season this season for Australia
why do you look at the ground while you ski?

I have been to mountains a few times
Nice. Do you ski or snowboard?
Watching this because I should be there rn but I snapped my thumb doing jumps on my mtb

And you tested skis that are equal to your height?

I feel sad. I was supposed to go up today! But Covid screwed it all up again...
