- A little test steam film of our 5” gauge Stanier black 5, in 1948 experimental apple green livery. The loco is currently for sale through our website, so if you’d like to know any more, do click the link and have a look at all the photos!

This engine was formerly owned by a BR steam driver who sadly died of cancer during the pandemic. As a young firman he remembered seeing the original loco in this livery not long after nationalisation.
I love that livery! I would never have thought it would look so good on a Black 5
One of these is my long term project, I'm currently collecting parts printing out working drawings and dreaming

Good looking engine. Smooth.

are you guys gonna do a steam test video of that massive CB&Q locomotive. i would really love to see a video of that under steam.
Amazing!!
Where is the location so I can go see it
That's a lovely model.
I was a little concerned how you would remove it from it's location, without getting your hands burnt, or local hooligans raining on the day!
Any circuit workouts planned?
Alan.

Is this Stanier or Stevensons?
It’s a Stanier design with Walschearts valve gear. 🙂
i'm gonna say it
can you make a 8f loco
I haven’t seen an example of an 5” gauge 8f. I’m currently building a 3 1/2” gauge 8f.
