Another great video Sergio and such helpful tips. On the battery charging, it is a safety requirement that you unplug the battery from the wall (Power) before you recharge the bike again. When I got my first Sondors bike that was one of the biggest recommendations they made to protect the power surge to/from the bike and to ensure safety. So, its not just your bike. It is safer and better to unplug your charger and start from scratch each time - on my Sondors bike, you are supposed to plug the cable into the battery on the bike BEFORE you plug it into the power, apparently, that was safer to control the power surge to the bike. If you plugged the power in first and then into the bike, it has a higher risk of the battery circuiting out - just a tip I learned with my Sondors bike and have followed with my MATE S and will follow when I get my MATE X. Keep up the super high quality video work - we love your videos!!

In the case that any wire on the bike becomes frayed, and gets shorted to the frame, or the motor shorts, the fuse will blow, and should protect the battery. Also it may be in line to protect if the charger shorts. Sidenote, having owned a Stromer in the past with a pretty sturdy key, I can tell this key will be the first to wear down or snap. It looks cheap, consider making spares.

Hey Sergio. I wanted to ask you if you know where to purchase a new controller for the Mate X 750S? I have contacted Mate but can't seem to get much help. I have spent countless hours looking for the exact model as well as the wiring harness and can't seem to find it anywhere... so I thought I would check with you lol my bike is brand new and i haven't even rode it once. Took it out of the box and set it up and it has a Error Code 30:Communications Error on the display and the bike doesnt work. It's driving me crazy so if you have any ideas where to find those parts I would really appreciate it. Thank you!!
"You didn't get an electric bike to get a workout right?". I know you're not completely serious, but yes, I did. I'm more likely to push myself further if I know I can have an assist getting back home. The return trip on my favorite trail is an almost imperceptible 20 mile uphill which crescendos to a challenging uphill in the final few blocks to get home. I wouldn't mind if the ride started with the uphills, cause then I'd know I can always make it back home -- but it is the other way. Bottom line, the eBike saves me from having to load it into the car for the trails near my home and it assures me that I don't have to kill myself on the final hill to my house. These in turn will remove the barriers that have often stopped me from going for a ride. Although once the computer can unlock all the extra power, the 750 has potential for being a bit of a dirt bike... Thanks for the vids.

@@SergioHernandezProduction I am sorry I was not precise. I try to explain, the front wheel is mounted on a "fork" with shock absorbers. And there is a rear-wheel-drive shock absorber as well. The question is about the pitch range of these depreciation and pictures / videos in the close details. Thank you.
I use a 10" Velcro strip that attaches the key to the cable of the lock when riding. this helps me to remember to remove the key when parking and locking up the bike. very cold and hot temps are not good for the battery. so if the bike is left in uncontrolled climent room or areas - garage, covered patio - best to remove the battery and take it indoors.

Sergio I know it wasnt your intent, but your pointers on the key help with the lectric as well. I was ducking down and passing out trying to put key in....*I love that Mate X. It has shocks!!! It is 750 compared to 500. Of course its more expensive. Dont get me wrong I love the Lectric, but istead of buyng another Lectric for my wife. I will get a Mate.
It would be great to see a video about how to play with the LCD settings in order to get the max performance. It looked like you were doing 31 mph on the flat trail you were on.

One topic to include in the future is bike handling and how tyre pressure can affect handling. The CVO (Chief Visionary Officer), as he refers to himself in his fb profile, (aka Christian) mentioned in a fb group that more pressure in tyres will assist cornering. I noted your attempt at riding in sand, haha, not very successful - I wonder if 4WD theory works here, ie. reduce tyre pressure so that tyre flattens out, increasing footprint. Or maybe the bike is just too heavy and the tyres are not wide enough to be effective, also depends on the softness of sand. Anyway something to think about. But certainly trialing bike handling at different tyre pressures would be interesting (for me anyway) haha. Pressure also affects range too. What about handling in the wet. Lots of topics here. I received an email from them, saying that my Mate X will come with a Euro plug, and i will have to buy an adapter. Did you run into the same issue? if so, do you recommend a good adapter. I don’t know how many prongs the plug has.

If you plug the charger in to the battery before the wall that cut off shouldn't happen. " It could be " to stop you plugging in to the wall and turning on then plugging in to the bike and causing a spark surge at the battery.
Anyone have these defects I found on my Mate X bike and reported to the company about 5 days ago and am now waiting for a response from the company to see what they're going to do about it: Anyway, the problem I’m having is that it’s impossible for the back fender to be installed straight and correct because the frame’s welding and hole that the fender screws into at it’s highest point is “not” centered and because the back fender has two attachment points, if one is not centered, it causes the rim to bend off to the side and rub against the tire once the two attachment points are screwed in.This is very disappointing because I really want both Mate X’s “with” rims on (hopefully the other one I ordered at the same time but haven't received, doesn’t have this problem) so that we don’t have to worry about getting water and mud streaks on our backs while riding in wet terrain. The next defect I found on the same bike is the "electrical socket" hole in the bike that is supposed to align with the battery port where you connect the charger plug through the frame, to the battery, does not align. As a result, I am not able to charge the bike’s battery unless I pull the entire battery from its frame which is extremely inconvenient. These bikes are "heavy", like a moped. So, following the steps to pull the battery out to charge it every time would be a huge pain in the butt. Hopefully, they'll respond soon with some sort of solution to get this bike replaced soon. Total bummer.
Sergio, when you see a cap that says “FUSE” on it do not be alarmed. It’s just a fuse. You need to know what this is and what the purpose of a Fuse is in any electrical device. You’re car has a Fuse Box loaded with replaceable fuses. They are not something to shy away from or be scared of. I think the MATE X community is starving for reviews and you are right now in a unique position to bring them to the people without much competition. This will change soon as more bikes are delivered and more people post reviews. Keep on educating yourself about not only the bike but also about how electric devices work in general.
The mate x is really scam! It’s unsafe (nuts and screw are become lose) and dangerous the stem or front wheel will break during riding... They betrayed with the battery and the charger... #batterygate Total shitshow

This problem is normal with these kind of chargers. The best thing to do is put a timer on them so it will reset automatic at night.
How do you unlock the bike top speed?
I believe you need the color display in order to do that. As of this date, the color display is not available for order. Should be soon though.
you can unlock advanced setting without color display.. press + & - at the same time it'll pop up & then you'll be able to raise top speed

If you plug the charger in to the battery before the wall that cut off shouldn't happen. " It could be " to stop you plugging in to the wall and turning on then plugging in to the bike and causing a spark surge at the battery.
Anyone have these defects I found on my Mate X bike and reported to the company about 5 days ago and am now waiting for a response from the company to see what they're going to do about it: Anyway, the problem I’m having is that it’s impossible for the back fender to be installed straight and correct because the frame’s welding and hole that the fender screws into at it’s highest point is “not” centered and because the back fender has two attachment points, if one is not centered, it causes the rim to bend off to the side and rub against the tire once the two attachment points are screwed in.This is very disappointing because I really want both Mate X’s “with” rims on (hopefully the other one I ordered at the same time but haven't received, doesn’t have this problem) so that we don’t have to worry about getting water and mud streaks on our backs while riding in wet terrain.
The next defect I found on the same bike is the "electrical socket" hole in the bike that is supposed to align with the battery port where you connect the charger plug through the frame, to the battery, does not align. As a result, I am not able to charge the bike’s battery unless I pull the entire battery from its frame which is extremely inconvenient. These bikes are "heavy", like a moped. So, following the steps to pull the battery out to charge it every time would be a huge pain in the butt. Hopefully, they'll respond soon with some sort of solution to get this bike replaced soon. Total bummer.
Sergio, when you see a cap that says “FUSE” on it do not be alarmed. It’s just a fuse. You need to know what this is and what the purpose of a Fuse is in any electrical device. You’re car has a Fuse Box loaded with replaceable fuses. They are not something to shy away from or be scared of. I think the MATE X community is starving for reviews and you are right now in a unique position to bring them to the people without much competition. This will change soon as more bikes are delivered and more people post reviews. Keep on educating yourself about not only the bike but also about how electric devices work in general.
