Izzy started his pro MMA career in 2012, it took him more than 8 years of training and fighting to get to a title shot you moron. Lopez is great but hes old, guys like Amir Aliakbari were much younger and while not an all time great like Lopez, an elite greco guy in his 20s who put in years and still never came close to breaking the top 10 of MMAs weakest division, HW.

In today fights Karelin would not be able to eat and win 5kg extra before fights, and also i dont think he was clean when he competed, URSS and asociates from East at that time like to use steroids to enhance they performance, even after the fall of Soviet Union they keep doing it. Great wrestler. I put him second behind Karelin. Why? Because Karelin was a total wrestler, for 10 years he never gave a single point to anybody on the mat + Karelin lost only two bouts during his entire career. Mihain Lopez' s statistics is much more weaker but still he is the second for me.
However it can be argued Lopez fought a much tougher competition. And his losses are very controversial. Watch them. You'll see why.

He doesn't have a "big " belly as you claim, my fellow country man (the Cuban) is just thick all around with massive legs and chest and back, Im not taking NOTHING away from the great Karelin, but he wrestled another Cuban named Hector Milan who was only about 6' 1" and only weight in at 220 lb. And he gave the Russian a good match. Now Lopez, is 6'5" and weight in at 285# like Karelin, so I think Mijain being much faster and just as strong and great technique would beat the Russian....
