I've never played this game, but I've sure heard great things about it. After hearing this lovely tune done by some other UA-cam musicians, I figured it was time for me to give this tune a try, but in a different style, as I always do. The bossa nova has been neglected by me for quite some time, so I decided to try it out on this tune, drawing some inspiration from Ceora by Lee Morgan.
Also, you may notice that I have a new saxophone! This is the first saxophone that I actually own. It's a Selmer 80 Super Action Series II. I love this horn, not just because of the black(!) lacquer, but also the singing quality of the horn. It's super easy to blow. I'm still getting used to it, however, so bear with me. Enjoy!

This song just fits this jazzy style so well. I curl up with a mug of coffee and just feel classy as hell with it. Amazing arrangement.

Why do you make everything I think can't work work? I've been holding off listening to this one for a while, because I was like, no, even insaneintherain can't make a JAZZ cover of Wind Scene work. It just doesn't lend itself to jazz. But you proved me wrong, once again.
There seems to be a problem with Epoch. I set for us to go to 600AD but somehow we ended up in 1960AD. :P
Great cover, it's always a lovely feeling to hear covers of your favourite track of a OST, especially one as good as this.

New sax is sounding nice! I think it has a darker tone which really suits something like this arrangement. I highly recommend playing at least a quarter-way through CT if you're into RPGs, you won't regret it mate.

I've noticed the production values have gone up quite a bit since here. I'm still getting used to the whole multiple videos thing trying to get everything to look smooth and crisp is tough.

The "Wind Scene" song on Spotify is actually Scars Of Time.
It is so nice and relaxing! Your sax does look awesome! I can't wait for more covers :) I loved the angle you used at 2:49.
I have mixed opinions on that angle myself, but I'm glad so many people noticed it and enjoyed it.

Wow, great cover. Your new tenor sax looks interesting and sounds even better :) You're probably my favourite fan arranger and player of video game music, you can play on my favourite instrument (saxophone) and probably in my favourite style of music (jazz).
I have a question. You have videos with your playing on tenor, baritone or soprano, but did you ever play on alto saxophone?
I've played alto a couple of times, but I've never had the opportunity to own one or play it for a significant venue. Also, alto is probably my least favorite of the SATB saxophones.

insaneintherainmusic Ok, alto is my favourite type of sax, but at least you often play on tenor, which is my second favourite. Still I love your style :)
Roger Wakeman Maceo Parker is great, not exactly my style though. Some of my alto favorites have to be Bird and Paul Desmond. I love Joshua Redman and Dexter Gordon on tenor, along with many more

Loving this arrangement you have going! Saxophone is still my all time favourite instrument. I love the rich dark tone of your new sax, it really fit this song well and I think you have a lot more potential with it. Beautiful choice in song, I highly recommend you play Chrono Trigger. Coming from a dude who typically hates RPGs, this game is phenomenal in every way imaginable. Great job as always!

I only noticed it now, but your Wind Scene piece on Spotify doesn't seem to be actually Wind Scene. I wouldn't be able to say which song it actually is, but it doesn't sound anywhere near that cover of yours. It's a shame, because that is probably one of the best renditions I've ever heard of the song.

No way The Consouls version is better than this version. Their arrangement is a simple lounge jazz song. This song's changes of rythm really give life to it.
