Watching Glenn get knighted at the end was huge for me. Felt like the ultimate closure and he closed the circle with his backstory. No other character had quite the same completeness.

Just finished playing the game for the first time and I loved it. My only regret is that I wish I would have played this game when I was a kid. My child brain would have exploded from how amazing this game is.

Akira toriyamas character designs are timeless (pun intended) the characters look just like they did back in 1995 and this doesn’t feel forced like with other attempts in adding new content to games. This could have easily been a 13 episode OVA or movie.
She already became my favorite character by literally inventing teleportation and time travel, by fixing robots with technology a literal 1000 years in the future and by not being shy about being a genius.
It is fantastic to see these detailed animation scenes from the game I have played for so many years. It is like seeing the game come to life with real people. It reveals the characters personalities in a way that a Super Nintendo game from1995 can't but can only hint at. I finally saw who Marle and Ayla really are. Amazing scene in the castle when Marle gets ripped apart because history has changed and she doesn't exist any more. The look of surprise and horror on her face I could only imagine before. The full impact of the scene where Frog uses the Masamune sword to split open the mountain to make a path to the Magic Cave can finally be comprehended.
What game by 1995 had exposed the world to the concept of time travel, alternate realities, causality, the future, AI, the notion that an Alien was responsible for the evolution of life on Earth? A retelling of the Atlantis myth, ect? This game has a lot of hype, because it truly was ground breaking. It was fantasy meeting sci-fi with characters that weren’t only memorable, but who grew, and who’s story was so engaging you couldn’t stop playing it! The music, the pixel art, the story! The turn based (sort of) fighting, it truly is a masterpiece and the best 16 bit game ever made.
Chrono trigger was the Metal gear solid of Super nintendo. Really was crazy and ahead of its time with the story telling and gameplay. Chrono trigger best rpg!!
Well, there is a really old OVA that takes place the night before the Millennial Fair. But it's really weird, and from what I recall, only about 20-30 minutes.

The story is a bit more convoluted and the "expansive" cast prevents the individual characters having as much growth (in some cases, ANY growth) as Trigger, but it very much continues the story and if you dig through the story, which is more complex than it initially appears, it's a pretty worthy sequel. It also has fantastic music (other than the "angry clown attack" that is, unfortunately, the main battle theme heard something like 60% of one's playtime...) and graphics and gameplay for that time period was mind blowing. "Dream of a Shore Bordering Another World" and "Time's Scar" are ridiculously amazing pieces of music easily on par with Chrono Trigger's main fanfare and Glenn, Ayla, and Magus' main themes. I played it when I was a kid. Back in 96. My dad had a japanese nes and had games like this bought. He could read japanese so he translated it for me by voicing characters.
On one hand these scenes are great, but on the other I can't help but think the Magus fight is more atmospheric when the player is in control of the character and the blue flames appear as they move forward. You know, it's more ominous when it looks like Magus is waiting for you than watching Frog march up by himself.
When you see Glenn is his human form and realize that he would have been the most powerful character in the game bar none if they let you play as human Glenn.

That was his whole arc and sidequest, it was only until he let go of that he realizes the full potential of the Masamune. Janus was about to killed by Ozzie when he first arrived in the middle ages by his goons until Janus unleashed his magic. Most likely he changed it to sound more intimidating to everyone else.
I don't care what anyone says: Chrono Trigger is set in the Dragon Ball universe and Crono is one of Goku's descendants... Wait, I'll go check if anyone wrote any fanfiction of this... ... ... ... They did.
Toriyama is actually already rich since very young from his anime, Arale ; not even have to mention Dragon Ball/Z and a lot of other things he has done to date in his life.

Chronic trigger is my favorite game of all time and I would always remember when I first play it and how was blown away at any immediately fell in love with the game.... And the best part about this game in my opinion are the characters and the storyline... This has big money written all over it... I told myself if I ever was to win the lottery or have a lot of money I would literally invest money to making this game into a movie and not just a movie a franchise with three parts... It can be as big as the Lord of the rings and Harry Potter franchise... It can easily a trilogy... My favorite second game is Mass effect and they're talking about making a TV series why won't anybody not take the chance to make a Chrono trigger franchise... I don't know how many times I've beaten the game. I've lost track. Had this game on the SNES. I didn't beat it then. I was only 5 or 6. Even then, I knew I loved the game play, animation, the combo wombos, and the music. It's a classic.
I love how alll cinematic cut seems are 10 mins. When I just watched like 60 hour parsona 5 royal that was basically just dialog and all cut scenes ahahhah. Love it. Let's go !!! Chrono cross here i come. Lol

Wow, I got goosebumps all over!! Fond memories playing this on the SNES.... I didn't get a chance to play on the PS1, but those cutscenes are AWESOME.

I don't know how many times I've beaten the game. I've lost track. Had this game on the SNES. I didn't beat it then. I was only 5 or 6. Even then, I knew I loved the game play, animation, the combo wombos, and the music. It's a classic.

I'm a bit puzzled by the last scene with Lucca... I don't understand who's this child with this pendant ? I'm sure Marle and Chrono are on the same timeline as Lucca..so...why this baby has a pendant like those allowing to open time gates ?
