This game look's like Hollow Knight. 😊 The music is awesome and 100% of tension. But, I don't understood about Unit ending, how happened to Unit spread like fungus?
Might be a bit late, but here: There were these aliens from another dimension called the Dreadlords ,they built entire civilisation. However one day, their entire civilisation got destroyed by the great Devourer, creature capable of eating entire universes. They managed to rip out one of it's teeth out, and using it they created the Doomblade, sword strong enough to cut holes between universes. When they arrived into the new universe they killed, brainwashed, tortured,ect. all of it's inhabitants, and the main character of the game wants to take her revenge.

The Unit cutscene is a secret ending that triggers if you sprout the Unit everytime you find it on the map
