When i learned about this lil' treasure hole i thought it was neat so i wanted to share it with you guys :)
So this is Oak Island Money Pit - A little treasure of Canada discovered back in the 1700s but theorized to be made anywhere from 400 to 800 years ago.

Lifelong Nova Scotian here, I know a guy who worked on the Oak Island show for years and it's hella fake.
No one here actually believes in it, they get people to go "look over there" and omg there's another stone with runes! Wow! There's no treasure. But hey, I like it when someone mentions that Canada extends east past Montreal so woo! xD

As someone who lives around there it’s cool to see people talking about it, but I find it hilarious how long that show is, I’ve come up with two theories
1. They already found it but their adding bits and pieces to the scene so they can make more episodes
Or 2. They haven’t found it/ they never will

i remember my dad being enthralled with a reality show about the hole, despite him knowing good and damn well they'd never just end it by getting to the bottom of it because it pulled in so many views. i forget what the show was called. probably something generic like "Oak Island Mystery", or something about "tennex"/"10-X" since that was some phrase they used a lot.

I’ve been watching this show for years and finally I find someone talking about it! I love this show I watch it with my dad, more people should know about oak island!

OH MY GOODNESS I learned about this as a kid from my dad, who gave me an article with a marked map of the island (yes, a physical paper article I'm old). I was obsessed with the Oak Island treasure hunt and often daydreamed about being the one to finally find it. I'm not Canadian though lol. I also didn't know that Nova Scotia is a part of Canada. Thank you for this video -- I didn't know it was such a known thing in Canada and it brings back much nostalgia!

I can’t believe he’s making a video on this but I love it. Me and my family used to watch the show on history channel all the time and I even once wrote a paper about oak island mystery and my teacher didn’t believe it was real until she did her own research. So yeh I think it’s cool to see gingerpale on this topic :]

I'm in BC, and I've not seen bag milk since I was a kid. It varies depending on where you are in the country.
The thing that mystifies me is how seemingly nobody outside of Canada has thought of the idea of putting the bag in a jug so it retains its shape when you pour it. They just go "bag milk, ha, how would that work." and assume it's like a grocery bag of milk or something.

@@fangirl3086 less garbage. Unless you're in a system where the milk bag is not recycled and the disposable container is, the milk bag will mean less waste to impact the environment.

I remember something where there was an episode about them having a memorial or something for one of their fellow treasure hunters passing away. They were technically apart of the search, so do3s that mean the 7th person died? Cause even after it still said “6 died, 1 more needs to die.”

i live in nova scotia and i actually went to a resort next to the island, it’s really cool and they told us stories about the island and the treasure, we didn’t go to the island but we had the option to, maybe if i go again i’ll see if i can

I live a few couple of hours away from the island actually!! for my mom's birthday we went to the town near it and they were filming in the restaurant we went to, my mom got pictures and autographs afterwards it was really cool! then we drove onto the island itself and saw thier little museum collection which was just a room with some stuff they found
It feels somewhat surreal seeing someone talk about Oak Island, considering I had to put up with my parents watching The Curse of Oak Island TV show for years, only for them to eventually get tired of it and stop watching. Still, I watched some with them, though I don’t remember them ever touching on any theory besides the Templar one, so it’s interesting to hear about the other ones.
