Jesus did NOT say "tarry" but He DID say "tarry at Jerusalem"!!!!!
Many preachers have taught people to tarry but Jesus said GO TO JERASULEM to tarry!!!!
We don't teach people to tarry (aka wait) for the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is on earth so you dont have to tarry to be filled with the Holy Ghost! How can you tarry for weeks, months even years yet live a Saved life, free from sin during this time when you don't have the power! If you can live saved & sancitified while tarrying then what's the point of even being filled with the Holy Ghost?! There's no power in tarrying, Jesus said the only power you have is after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you, Acts 1:8!!!!!
You don't have to tarry, but you must repent and turn your heart and mind toward the things of God. You will receive the Holy Ghost. It really is that simple.
The holyghost is already given. The person's heart must be ready to receive it.
This is a true WORD from the Lord. Preach Bishop Murray! I had to tarry (wait) for the Holy Ghost because the Holy Ghost and the evidence of tongues didn't come until my heart, mind, body, and soul was READY! and it took time to get all that junk out of my life, I was waiting for the Holy Ghost but the HOLY GHOST HAD ALREADY CAME ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST, but the Holy Ghost was waiting for me to get right! THANK YOU JESUS!!!! This is a WORD!
Hallelujah! I am so glad Bishop is teaching and preaching on this subject; God bless him for his obedience I was raised that you had to tarry to get the Holy Ghost but praise God when I received the Holy Ghost I was ready and it came upon me suddenly no tarrying, I opened my mouth and the Holy Ghost filled me I will never forget that moment.
He's so right !! I always thought that you "had" to tarry to receive the Holy Ghost. But I realize now that you don't HAVE to tarry for the Holy Ghost. All it takes is a made-up mind.

WOW!! After fasting for a whole day with no food or water, I had a dream that night that I was filled. And all I can say was there was bright light in my room (I think representing the holy Ghost fire) And is tarted crying and speaking in tongues in this dream. I felt the Holy Ghost transforming int hat dream. So I praise God that I will be filled SUDDENLY! Still waiting on it!
Part 2: Now that the Holy Ghost is here we no longer have to teach people to wait for the Holy Ghost. There's no biblical teaching that commands us to tell people they must wait to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Also, common sense & wisdom says (if someone has been bound by sin especially stuff like molestation, rape, drugs, homosexuality, fornication, murder etc) why would you teach ppl to wait for the Holy Ghost when they NEED the power immediately to say no to the stuff they were bound by?!?
PREACH IT BROTHER!!I LIKE TO LISTEN TO BISHOP HERMAN MURRAY AS WELL! THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH WHOM THE WORLD CANNOT RECIEVE. YOU GOTTA GIVE UP THE WORLD! :)

All it takes is a true repentance heart. And the Lord will fill you with the Holy Ghost then you will began to speak in tongues.Which is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost!

Part 1: Luke 24:49 "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, UNTIL ye be endued with power from on high."
Jesus COMMANDS the apostles to WAIT (aka tarry) in Jerusalem until they were filled with the Holy Ghost. They could not have been filled if they did not go to Jerusalem because God was NOT going to allow the Holy Ghost to fall no other place on earth other than Jerusalem.
If you're still waiting, did you ever ask for it?

Part 3: Acts 1:4 Jesus commands the disciples not to leave Jerusalem. Acts 1:8 Jesus tells the disciples they will be witness of Him in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, etc but that would happen AFTER they were filled with the power of the Holy Ghost.
Tarry does not mean say jesus jesus jesus 50 times nor does it mean vomit, purge etc. It means wait. So explain to me why you tell ppl to wait on something that's already here. None of the apostles wrote about that.
