- Christmas has come and gone, and now it's nearly new years eve. So what better way to prepare than to set off some fireworks on your fingernails! Obviously that's very dangerous so let's just paint some firework Nail art instead.

Hi Courtney, I have really been enjoying watching your videos. Before you paint the nail tip with the black did you need to do any preparation, or did you just go ahead and paint it?
Hiya. If you're using natural nails, they need prepped as normal, removing oils and cuticle , before base and black etc. If you're just practicing on tips, don't waste your base coat. If you're selling custom pressons, remove any rough edges with a file, buff the surface and use a base coat :) hope that helps!

@@NailswithCourtneyCrosbie, I have one more question, it's not from this video but in another one you said you can use normal nail polish but need to let it set for 24hrs. Does this mean that you need to wait 24hrs between each coat??
@kays9275 if you're selling the pressons, you should leave it up to 24 hours to dry. But not every layer. I think the reason I said 24hrs is because when you press the nails into the box or whatever you're storing them in, you will leave a fingerprint on the nail if the polish isn't super dry.
