I think one interesting rule to implement for the auction draft, to counteract the people skipping mons, is to add blind bets (like poker) where each round someone has to get a mon and spend a little bit of money. This also helps counteract people hoarding money since with this way there's always at least one person who has a little less money. Still very excited to see what the runners will come up with next time!
To all of the guys who occasionally write in chat "Hi vod guys" Just know i always say hi back, love you all and love you jacob, these vods are my saving grave when i can't sleep and need to listen to something while i have a midnight snack
twitch chat has one joke ab newer mons being in gen 3 & i have to wonder where theyve been on the internet to never hear about this sort of thing while also being an alpharad viewer
How do you lose a run where deaths don't count? We call that the basketball timeline. EDIT: I should cite my sources, sorry for forgetting: "Solving the Zelda Timeline in 15 minutes" by Brian David Gilbert for his Unraveled series on Polygon (September 2018).
I still don’t fully get the whole candypill choice, it just turns the game into a boss rush. Especially with a romhack like this either make it just bosses with a certain amount of random encounters and skip the whole game part or design it so that fighting all optionals on the way there gets you to cap
Except the trainers are also all mini bossfights and at level cap as you get closer to the gyms. Everything between Petalburg and Roxanne is at the cap, so it's designed for you to also be there, whether you grind or candy it.
The trainers are specifically designed for you to be overleveled and get the chance to plan for their teams, and this would not be possible, and would require weaker, less interesting teams at a lower level.
@ yeah so design it differently? The fun thing about a non candypilled nuzlock is that you won’t dodge optional trainers so more battles to show different interesting or gimmicky teams. Being able to plan for their teams doesn’t change? What kind of Pokémon you use also wouldn’t change? All it does is 1. Show more interesting battles 2. Create a slightly higher chance to lose Pokémon which makes the runner invest in multiple plans 3. Make gimmicky mons more useful to use against a specific trainers team to protect the main party

14:17 ground rules
16:51 run starts
Thank you I was fastforwarding for like 5 minutes since I figured he'd explain what a Run & Bun is at the start 😭
Bless you, lol
"girls get it done NEVER MIND THEY DON'T; HE'S BISEXUAL!!!" Iconic line.
I love that this run is min-maxing for minimum calculators and maximum fun.
Love the gay panic Turtwig and the Bee/Bay struggling to attack the bisexual Minccino. Love wins❤️🏳️🌈
It is nice to see mr alpharad slowly descend to the dark side, a.k.a using spreadsheet and damage calculator
For the money also, it would be cool to add a sink at the end. I.e. start with a stone for 500, choice items for 1k, xItems for some value

Ah yes the timeline when he and his friend couldn't beat a Zelda game and they gave up to play basketball. Peak cinema

First God what's wrong with me.....
I love the draft speed runs
This isnt ernie gang
is it just me or does the audio kinda not match the mouth. Like, they're mostly synced but it looks like he's lip syncing his own voice???

Ew, the pandering to subs is gross. You have to give people a reason to want ot sub, it's not a given.
Calls to action are actually one of the best drivers of subscriptions on Twitch/UA-cam, ESPECIALLY asking for Prime Subs
