@@ceresgc that defeats the purpose of this show. You are not supposed to have a good deck. @@theghostofteddylong9586 half of the time they can't pick them, why wouldn't they be in the tips section? The distinction between commercial apple "brands" and "species" is practically nonexistent. A species is cultivated, like Granny Smith etc, and its seeds are then sold for people to grow on farms or on plantations in third world countries. This results in a lot of apples and other fruits having stupid candy flavor names like "Ambrosia" or "Cosmic Crisp (registered trademark)" that are their actual species name, but they were named by someone trying to sell them, not by a naturalist trying to give something a good name.
If i was gonna add rules for extra deck cards, you should just always get to pick one up if they show up, and then get a different card from the same list as well. That way you dont get free rolls and the extra deck can fill out. Beyond that i feel if you pull an archetypal card, you should be able to pick 1 card from the archetype but you have to do so before you check the tips for rolls. That would lead to fun combos if you want but you may forgo that for the generic consistancy. Vanilla monsters are fun to pull for the viewers at the time, but in game they feel very boring most the time. Maybe reward playing Vanillas in some way like if you get a vanilla you can play 3 copies of it, and if you do play at least 3 vanillas, you get a link spider. It wont impact much, but could lead to some fun interactions.
Farfa be like: yeah use message in a bottle and beat me with these monsters next turn. Gage with 3800 LP: yeah that sounds like a great idea let's do it! at least that what he wants him to do Suggestions to make the series better 1- Make the player pick 1 random card then they either take 3 cards from the tip section OR 1 card from the tip and 1 further card from the new one's (picked) tips. Let's assume I got a dark dragon then I take Magnuhmut, then I pick Magnum's tips and pick Lubellion from there. This is to create more synergies and not ending up with a dog water deck. 2- Allow players to pick 60 cards then they choose to narrow it down to 40 while deck building. So when I go through more cards, I have more options to make my deck viable and find synergies optimising their choices. 3- If you want to insist on the extra deck then you can add a rule to have at least 8 min extra deck cards. If you reach card limit beforehand then you just skip until you get extra deck cards (either good or bad) and pick only extra deck cards from their tips. Still I don't think this should be included but I'll leave it here. Love the series and would very like to see it grow with more guests (from experts like Jesse, Josh and Quantal to funnies like Sam and MBT) and updated rules.
I would say a way to expand the rules os to say you get the initial card, one of it's tip cards, and then one from the tip cards page of that tip card. Alternatively, you could say that if the card could reasonably be described to have a "target", you can get one target in addition to your normal tip card, since tip cards are often searchers.
Only new rule I would consider would be if you roll a card that mentions another card by name you should get to add it as well (i.e. rituals and their spells, fusions, etc). Otherwise if you decide to add more rolls or more picks from the tips (or anything else), you may as well just do a cube draft instead for guaranteed synergies and playable cards.
Just thought of something at the end of the ep, i was thinking from now on you can keep your previous cards, but for every 1 card you keep your opponent gets to keep 1 of their old cards too. Maybe winner decides how many cards they're keeping? Oh yeah for any new guest, i guess they can get that many potential re-rolls up to the cards you kept. Idk just shooting around ideas, no idea if this would actually work. I agree on the extra deck stuffs too that it needs to be addressed, but i got nothin 🤷♂️
I thought of an interesting extra rule. So each player gets a favourite card rule. The first card u add is your favourite card, no matter how good or bad it is. Yes, that means every week Farfa gets Dante. U still get a card from the tips, but it could add another fun element.
My onlny problem with these challenges is that you dont announce when they are over ( at least not to my understanding ). Just make a video with you going through hell and saying you lost the challenge, then start a new one
what about a modified version of this series where you start with one card and then for the card you select off the tips you add another card from that card's tips and so on? with just the small limitation that if you ever go back to a card to add, you can't add the same card off its tips as the first time. so basically you can't go card a into card b into card a into card b, but you could go card a into card b into card a into card c into card b. or maybe even just cut the chain off both ways, so then you couldn't go card a into card b into card a, but you could go card a into card b into card c into card a, but I think that might be too much to keep track of the idea would be that since you'd be chaining "related" cards, it should in theory get to perhaps a more cohesive deck. with the limitation ideas simply to prevent back and forth chaining to easily acquire playsets of cards (though one could still get them with a bit extra work)
honestly I think farfas decks are consistently worse because he picks more extradeck cards.. he said"yeah by picking extradeck cards you get more rolls" like that's an advantage.. bro the rolls suck! the good cards are the ones you pick. farfa would rather have 30 bad cards and 10 good ones instead of 20 good cards and 20 bad ones... what is bro doing??? excelent content!
@@Laflamme78 honestly there was no other realistic out to it and gage did kinda missplay by triggering it without setting a card first. farfa simply gambled on gage only having 1 trap which looking at gages deck could have happened and lost.
What is you try like wiki chains? Random card, then related card. Then card related to that and so on for maybe 5 or 10 chains. Though I do think you shouldn’t be allowed into the same card per chain.
I feel like if this is a series you should let everyone point out a problematic card every duel (that was played in that duel) that is banned in the series. It´s not guaranteed that those cards will come back, but with cards like Magnamut, Mardell and Lovely in the card pool you can bet they will come up every episode and solo win, which is not fun considering this is about spamming bad stuff to somehow win.
If you don’t want completely unplayable garbage here’s my suggestion on how to fix it. Instead of randomizing every roll you can just randomize the first roll pick the tip card, then for the second card pick the tip card from the first tip card’s tip. Then third card from second card’s tip and so on. If you don’t like any of the options you can choose none of the cards from the tips second and randomize instead. This way you won’t end up with unplayable garbage and there’s strategy to what you pick. Might be too much thinking though.
I like the idea, but the problem is most of the generic cards that are on the tips just lead back to themselves anyways. It would work for some cards but as you've seen in the series so far, it all leads to sangan and witch anyways.
I think you can't buff the tips cards any more. You'll just be playing the same Lady Lab Turbo every week probably. There are some decent other suggestions in the comments.
Because playing 1 brick is better than playing 2. Putting 2 1ofs in your deck that do literally nothing unless you draw both of them, and even then is questionable as to whether it'd even be worth it to play them if you do draw them both is objectively worse than just taking 1 brick and something else that can be potentially useful. Case in point: he actually got use out of Manju being a summonable monster that could attack over small things and act as a body to block an attack. If he'd taken Zera the Mant instead, it would have just been (another) dead card in his hand.
