A home assistant video would be great. Now that raspberry pi is more readily available a video on octoprint on a pi would be great. Not everyone had made the jump from e3v3+ printers yet. Maybe a cost to benefits analysis between maybe e3v3 to e3s1 to sovol to bambu would help many on an entry point this holiday season.

Glad you and your loved ones are safe, and I hope things get back to normal for you soon. Meantime as an elderly movement-limited geek, I'd very much appreciate any help getting my Creality printer set up so I can send it a new job remotely, and keep an eye on it during printing, so I can limit the number of times I need to put myself in the same room to mess with it. Moving hurts!

    • @glittalogik

I reckon the easiest way to do this is just buying a Creality Sonic Pad - it's not quite as open or versatile as a DIY Klipper solution but it makes life infinitely easier than lugging SD cards around :)
I went with the Pad during last year's Raspberry Pi shortage, but if you're comfortable with electronics and command lines then rolling your own Klipper controller on an RPi or equivalent is well worth the time investment!

I have yet to use Octoprint. or is there other software that does that for an x1c? Even if it is just the que for loading the next print. Meaning it send the file to the printer. Not the spoon feeding that it looks like octoprint is optimized for.

On the 3d software, I might just hate myself :D but I think OpenScad needs to be added. That's my trifecta for designing my own parts. Openscad, Onshape, Blender. Can't go wrong learning all 3.
If you know what you need and it's pretty straight forward, the exact nature of scad is hard to beat. If you're not entirely sure what you need, the other two are much better.

@@SUNLU No problem. While I have your attention - a small request. Could you print the empty pool weight on the product sticker you stick on the side? This helps determine how much filament is left on the spool by just weighing it and subtracting the weight of the spool. I have noted that the spools have changed over the years so even if I take note of an empty spool weight, it may be different in the future. Just stick it on the printed sticker with the colour and gross weight.

People hate on iPhones, they’re some of the best phones out there. Sure they come with a high price tag, and has its flaws, just like every single product in history. Every OS, wether it be IOS, standard android, or another linux based system, they all have their advantages and disadvantages. I’ll keep a degoogled phone for privacy, but also an iPhone for a more organized, better media experience.

@@dylan-2169 I don't like the fact that I don't own it, and on privacy side I like blackphone that is half the price for the same quality and no Google or apple sided

@@fab-it312 You own the phone, just not the operating system. You own a license to use iOS, just like if you have a windows computer, you don’t own the OS, you own a license to use it. In both cases, you completely own the device itself. There’s an argument against that, and I’m not arguing for it. Using de googled phones are a great idea for privacy, nothing against them at all. I don’t think there’s a “one size that fits all” for phones, you choose what you want based off your preferences or needs.

Concern not yourself, I don't think Israel will be destroyed again, it would surprise me very much if it was. No one messes with Gods land without Him doing something in repercussion. First video I've seen of yours, great work, I'm a3d printing newb so I very much appreciate the info thank you very much. I do have other questions id like to ask you about if you don't mind. Where can I ask them in a more private setting as they are business questions. Email, phone, any other method or may prefer?

Apple shill. Please stop harassing people because of their choice of operating system. Personally I wouldn't ever go with software that is only made available to one OS as iOS. That's just ridiculous.
