Sure, you shouldn't expect to get all 400+ Glossy Gemstones in a single Cole, but you don't understand how ridiculously rare it is, with a lot of people getting less than 100 per mayor cycle. Personally I got a grand total of 7. I'll admit I only participated in 3 fiestas, downtimed a lot, and just mined MoD Jade with a Gemstone Gauntlet out of laziness (not to mention the game update during one of the fiestas throwing a wrench in the plans of anyone who had set up a Ruby route anyway), so I obviously didn't expect to get anywhere near maxing it in a single Cole. But not even getting 16 to be able to get a single thing with them is just ridiculous. The rates definitely need to be buffed. And this is not really an endgame sweat issue, because as far as I know, there's no SkyBlock XP tied to *specifically* obtaining X amount of Glossy Gemstones during Mining Fiestas, just the general ores mined which most of them have already maxed out ages ago. Those players can just buy Glossy Gemstones if they really want to. It's the players who are either Ironman or just not filthy rich / want to grind for stuff themselves that really suffer.

Problem isn't that you need 432 glossys, problem is that HYPERMAXED miner makes 20, and if you are really lucky up to 30 glossy per fiesta. Tbh it would be ideal to lover rates by like 50%, but make efficient miner be able to drop them, so the better your gear and powder is the better your rates are. Also when I say hypermaxed I mean WITH the foxy perk, so it's not 1/725 it's 1/652.5

The biggest issue with how rare the glossy was is how it’s completely disgustingly inflated the prices of everything and since it was so RNG (most I got in one event was 11) people with good luck just ended up dominating the market too much
I farmed gemstones in the first fiesta for 2h, got 1 glossy gemstone, got demoralized and didn't enter since (ironman grind but im a bit burnt and have better things to play, like wynncraft: Rekindled)
In my opinion, the drop rate of the glossy is correct and don't need to be changed. Of course it takes a while to have everything, but glossy mineral talisman and glossy armor are good for mid/late game and coating, reforge and equipments are more late/end game. So except if you want to be end game the fastest as possible, it's not really a problem, it just gives you a progression that that get maxed in a decent amount of time like 5-6 Cole (so about like 2 years) (And it's in the case you are in ironman or you just want to farm it yourself, in any other cases you can have access to everything with coins)
I'd love to see some 1.20 mechanics implemented into kuudra and maybe dungeons that makes clearing a bit more satisfying than just right click go brrrrrr
People overestimate how long it takes, to max the event. Just get max efficent miner and you are "max" for getting glossy. If you do ruby max efficent miner its not difficult to get in the 40-60 range per event (i got 40 mining topaz, significantly worse rates). This works out to 2-3 mayors until max, nowhere even close to some other mayors, like diana.
I will preface this by saying that this is only my experience and that I could/might have just gotten totally RNG carried, in which case you could disregard this. Ironman Personally I don't think glossy needs a buff to the drop chance. It just needs a clear way for players to optimize for it. So many people were arguing about if efficiency miner worked or not, if mineshafts were better and so on. This confusion and lack of clarity on the best methods lead to players getting so low averages. I personally got 8+40+17+41 from the four events I participated in. During the first one I didn't know anything about best strats. second time I perfected my strat just got caught by a lobby reset and was lucky enough to recover fast. Third event was a complete mess with the servers and I just mined in the caverns at the end. And last event went perfectly with me fully sweating trying to get 64 for full mineral upgrade. So while I agree that things have to change with glossy I think instead hypixel should make it clearer how it works by telling us if -efficiency miner works -are mineshafts better odds -do constructs in CH work differently -does fortune/pristine/speed affect -pannels vs blocks (Realistically most of these dont matter, but the lack of clarity is what really is hurting people, and I don't know how to else explaine why I was able to get over 30 glossy twice) Maybe a minor buff or a pity system, tho it should be somehow aimed at lower level players to not immediately flood the game with glossy gemstones (Perhaps slightly better odds when you have low mining speed)

I've heard farming pests with maxed pest chance (which is about 450) and a pest vest makes as much as ruby mining. I'm not convinced but getting enchanted hay bales from flies IS worth a lot, so you might want to look into that. (Though getting Mushroom Armor with pesterm 5 is a pain, also you need to use a T-rex with Brown Bandana, as it's better than a Slug)
p.s. Also getting anything above 30 Glossy Gemstones in a single fiesta I would say is being RNG carried, if the method is to break as many blocks are possible to hit a 1/725, then ruby mining would be the best way as it's the gemstone with the least block strength Any other method doesn't really make sense, you might consider Pickobulus and Armadillo so you can instabreak SOME gemstones, but unless there is a hidden mechanic, Ruby is logically the best way to farm it
I'm definitely feeling the risk of investing in the attribute update. Wondering if there is any reason not to invest in attributes like mp mr on anything other than aurora gear. Not sure if the takeaway would be any different.
7 glossy in 3 fiestas ..... ( mined tunnel / shaft gemstones without effi miner ) ^^ mined about 35M gemstones in total in all fiestas ( belive 5h active mining ) a pitty system for those would be really important imo.
so macroer in crimson with new glossy mineral armor, he insta vanished when i go near him when flying pass. i try to calculated if he macro he could at least make 20m/h since macro would be way more effective like auto aim all block with perfect timing unlike with hand. no real proof so unless we see more of them.
I personally think getting roughly~100 glossy gemstones per cole is fine if you need 4 to max out he event then its fine. you should not be maxing out the event after one cole. If your not gonna be awake for all 5 events per cole then stop complaining you do need all the items in one cole.
I personally only got 2 glossy gemstones, but that was because on one fiesta, I mined for about an hour and 20 minutes in the glacite tunnels (which is apparently bugged), and I mined in the last one for the last six minutes (in the chollows).
i dont think that people realize that you are able to just use the old armadillo routes and mine them with efficient miner to get more glossy. i got 48 glossy in one event where i was very inefficient and got kicked 10 minutes before the event ended. i was able to get a coating, full glossy mineral and the talisman by the end of cole and I only participated in three events
I disagree that glossy being rare is bad. I got 136 in all 5 fiestas and there has to be a more efficient way to grind them. End game nolifers will be able to complete it in 3 coles. Casual players will take a lot longer, but it's just a small upgrade, not essential for progression.

The 25 Pet Luck however are active during the whole 124 hours of the mayor term, and remain useful even during Aatrox (Ghoul Pet, Hound Pet, Enderman Pet). Not to mention Dragons and Scathas for instance.
I seriously believe that the glossy gemstone drop rate is fine as it is and is better off being really rare and taking a while to collect fully. It should be a drop that takes time and multiple fiestas to obtain, otherwise it’s most likely going to end up like refined mineral : completely worthless and a useless addition to the game. Another thing is that it opens more varied mining methods that are only possible and viable during fiestas, mainly, efficient miner gems. I think people just expect that since they have a maxed setup they should be able to finish and entire update in a single mayor and that isn’t really something that should happen, besides, if you really grind for glossy gemstones you can max it. Honestly, Glossy Gemstones are a tad bit too rare, but I wonder what the general opinion would be if it was out for months/years, with a stable economy. Everyone needed Glossy Gemstones when Cole arrived, there was unlimited demand, and 0 supply. If we were in an economy with people having already gotten everything, some people having a few already and some people having nothing, it would be less of an issue. We can't just panick as many did (just looking at price history) until it is stable enough to have a more objective viewpoint of the situation IMO. Although, even with a supposed more stable and balanced economy, I again still find it to be a bid too rare.

For someone that has to only focus on Glossy Gemstones it's pretty annoying, but for someone who has started their mining progression while Glossy Gemstones are already a thing, it won't be as bad, as they have to do everything else next to that. Also a reminder that Cole gets elected fairly often when he's not bugged and doesn't only have 1 perk for multiple elections.

during the first fiesta I mined ruby from start to finish with maybe 5 minutes of total downtime and only got 13 glossy gemstones. In total you need around 432 glossy gemstones for everything from the talisman to the 6 divan powder coatings you'd need. glossy gemstones are unnecessarily rare for how many you need. How they managed to make scrap -2.0 would be impressive if not so very annoying.

The things that make glossy gemstones even rarer is that gemstones take more time to mine and that many people aren't still using efficient miner on gemstones, which they absolutely should during mining fiesta. If you can't bother with a long route in hollows, mine any of the gemstones in tunnels you come across (but try to save the tunnels exclusive gemstones to comm and mining multitaskers).
If you actually use an efficient method you can get a reasonable amount. The fact its rare is also fair because of thr massive buffs it can be used for.
@@TheDarkKillerGR No, it won't. The reason Refined Mineral is so common is because you can just get it from Cobblestone, and actual ores can also be trivially insta-mined (1 tick). Gemstones take a *minimum* of 4 ticks to mine and that's during Mining Speed Boost. Without that, it's 7+ ticks (maybe 6+ now with a hypermaxed setup).
Hot take, I don't think the glossy gemstones are too rare. They are more endgame mining and this way everyone won't instantly have everything maxed again after 1 event. I got a total of 56 glossys in 4 events because i was just casually mining ruby and not sweating wvery event full time. It's def a lazy way to stretch content but imo still better than making them too common.

Instead of changing the gemstone drop chance, some recipes should be tweaked. Equipment should require 16 glossy per piece and powder coatings should also be 16 or 24. I’d prefer the drop chance to stay the same, maybe it can get a slight tweat like 1/700 instead.

Arent things suppost to be rare if they are good upgrades? And its not like its super tedious since even when you do have all the glossy gemstones, your still gonna be mining gems during fiestas so why not just passively collect them and upgrade along the way instead of making them super common just for everyone to throw their excess in a chest right next to the refined minerals
"Good upgrades" the only good upgrade is the powder coatings. The equip is only like, 20 better fortune and 40 better speed(estimate) and 50 fortune on gems(good but 100% not worth the 200m it's going for right now)
Glossy Gemstone is ENTIRELY fine. I have bought enough Glossy Gemstones to put on everything. Pricing and getting them in the first place are fine. People are just moaning.
This also doesn't work if you are poor. It would've taken(at the lowest price they were, ithink like 4m) 342*4 equals 1.368 BILLION coins. To put that into perspective for you, You can buy a term plus a enderdragon with that.

For someone that has to only focus on Glossy Gemstones it's pretty annoying, but for someone who has started their mining progression while Glossy Gemstones are already a thing, it won't be as bad, as they have to do everything else next to that. Also a reminder that Cole gets elected fairly often when he's not bugged and doesn't only have 1 perk for multiple elections.

With the most efficent way of grinding for glossy its actually possible to get 60-70 glossy PER fiesta
And that way would be? I could imagine grinding onyx in a private lobby would be strong but even that would be no way near the 70 glossys you are talking about rn.

While i agree the glossy gemstone is far too rare, but people shouldn’t try to get everything in just a few events. Yes the grind sucks and its a pain to wait for the right perks again and again, but isn’t that the whole point of the game?? Hell i bet that if people got it in a single event, they’d then complain the update was too small and should’ve added more. The admins simply cant win in this

I think the glossy rarity was fair because if you consider how much you need to play to get all items from other events this is easy.
Hot take: glossy gemstones are not TOO rare.
Why? Because the closer you get to a max mining setup, the more expensive upgrades should be.
during the first fiesta I mined ruby from start to finish with maybe 5 minutes of total downtime and only got 13 glossy gemstones. In total you need around 432 glossy gemstones for everything from the talisman to the 6 divan powder coatings you'd need. glossy gemstones are unnecessarily rare for how many you need. How they managed to make scrap -2.0 would be impressive if not so very annoying.
Same, averaged 5 a fiesta. Literally useless.

The things that make glossy gemstones even rarer is that gemstones take more time to mine and that many people aren't still using efficient miner on gemstones, which they absolutely should during mining fiesta. If you can't bother with a long route in hollows, mine any of the gemstones in tunnels you come across (but try to save the tunnels exclusive gemstones to comm and mining multitaskers).
People only got about 20 per event? I managed to get between 36-41 per event.

If you actually use an efficient method you can get a reasonable amount. The fact its rare is also fair because of thr massive buffs it can be used for.
If the drop rate is lowered its gonna become the same useless drop like refined mineral is rn. So i think the drop rate is good as is
@@TheDarkKillerGR No, it won't. The reason Refined Mineral is so common is because you can just get it from Cobblestone, and actual ores can also be trivially insta-mined (1 tick). Gemstones take a *minimum* of 4 ticks to mine and that's during Mining Speed Boost. Without that, it's 7+ ticks (maybe 6+ now with a hypermaxed setup).
I think the bigger problem is tje shorter fiestas.. You dont have a lot of time

Hot take, I don't think the glossy gemstones are too rare. They are more endgame mining and this way everyone won't instantly have everything maxed again after 1 event. I got a total of 56 glossys in 4 events because i was just casually mining ruby and not sweating wvery event full time. It's def a lazy way to stretch content but imo still better than making them too common.
if something is to difficult or isn't completable in like 1 day they just say its impossible and then when there finished they ask for more content like bruh wtf u want
Instead of changing the gemstone drop chance, some recipes should be tweaked. Equipment should require 16 glossy per piece and powder coatings should also be 16 or 24. I’d prefer the drop chance to stay the same, maybe it can get a slight tweat like 1/700 instead.

Arent things suppost to be rare if they are good upgrades? And its not like its super tedious since even when you do have all the glossy gemstones, your still gonna be mining gems during fiestas so why not just passively collect them and upgrade along the way instead of making them super common just for everyone to throw their excess in a chest right next to the refined minerals
In the current state, it would take the average lategame mining player 9 cole's to get enough glossy if they attended every fiesta. It is exorbitant.
"Good upgrades" the only good upgrade is the powder coatings. The equip is only like, 20 better fortune and 40 better speed(estimate) and 50 fortune on gems(good but 100% not worth the 200m it's going for right now)
I think the glossy gemstones are just fine in how rare they are. It should not be easy to get all of the g-gems that you need

Glossy Gemstone is ENTIRELY fine. I have bought enough Glossy Gemstones to put on everything. Pricing and getting them in the first place are fine. People are just moaning.

This also doesn't work if you are poor. It would've taken(at the lowest price they were, ithink like 4m) 342*4 equals 1.368 BILLION coins. To put that into perspective for you, You can buy a term plus a enderdragon with that.
