Hopefully no copyright infringement comes at you carpathia. Also, you got to appreciate the sound chip the genesis had. It was underpowered, yet was capable of many things

I can’t believe that Michael Jackson wasn’t happy with how the Sega Genesis sounded like. It’s such a damn shame. But I love how he had the opportunity to collaborate with Sega.

I just love how Michael Jackson back in the day was a Sega Genesis fan, as well as Sonic. And even though he's no longer with us, he still might be to this day, especially the people at his record company. So hopefully someday we can get one of the Jackson brothers to work for Sega again.

This sounds a lot like it does in the 10 minute Moonwalker video. That movie has my preferred mix of this tune, nice and long, emphasis on the instruments.

It seems that channel 4 is somewhat adding some attack to channel's 1 bass. They seem to be playing the same thing... idk

The instruments of this are disturbingly similar to the Doom 32X ones…
I know that are GEMS presets, but anyway, the instruments still shocking me.
I think these are similar if not exact to Sonic 1 aswell
Moonwalker and Sonic share the same sound engine, the SMPS Z80. It was a common thing for most of japanese Sega Genesis games.
@@edu_moonwalker yep. And Doom used GEMS. So, are not the same. But still sounding kind of similar.
@@edu_moonwalker I'd like to make one minor correction to your statement. Sonic. 1 and Moonwalker used a m68k variant of the SMPS driver, with the DAC being run by the z80.
Otherwise, good knowing what kind of driver was used!
