HOW TO MAKE CRISPY DRY RUB WINGS IN THE OVEN | OVEN BAKED CHICKEN WINGS WITH CHRIS BASSETT FORM RHOP

- If you are like me and do not own an #airfryer...then this is the recipe that you need to still be able to make #crispy #wings at home in your oven! If you happen to have an air fryer....then use that, its probably easier. Not that this recipe is hard....but the cook time is definitely longer.
With any good wing you need a good sauce. I fell in love with Alabama white sauce a few years back when I was part owner of a #bbq restaurant. The sweet along with the tang, and the creamy make it a great sauce for wings!
The secret to getting your wings crispy in the oven is in the rub, add some baking POWDER (not baking soda) to it, it will help dry out that skin, but also making sure that the #wings are completely thawed and as dry as possible. Moisture is what keeps them from obtaining that dry, #crispy skin.
Grocery Cart:
2# #chicken wings
cooking spray
For the Rub:
2 tbl sugar in the raw
1 tbl salt
1 tbl baking powder
1 tbl old bay
1 tbl ancho chili powder
1 tbl smoked paprika
1 tbl garlic power
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp cayenne
1 tsp corriander
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp corn starch
mix all together
For the Alabama White Sauce:
2 cup mayo
3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbl horseradish (adjust to your liking)
2 tbl lemon juice
1 tbl worcestershire sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper
salt and pepper to taste

yea....frying is haze...waiting for the oil to get to the right temp....maintaining the temp....the after smell....the cleanup/...the worst
Worcesh-shesh-shesh-sheshire sauce is a must! A refrigerator without a bottle of W.Sauce is like a guitar without the strings.

I love drums. And tbh I'm a new Yorker and in florida for 8yrs and they are so different here. Florida wings are soft ewww barf. So I cook my wings in the oven with my own seasoned dry rub at 325 for like 4hrs and it's amazing

Yes air fryers are literally the best. I have the emeril 360 and it does so many different things. Even reheating leftovers to taste as if they were cooked that day!

Flats all day!! I really don’t understand the side eye I receive when I order “wings… only flats”😅 I’m pretty boring. I do not use ranch and I don’t like blue cheese. I like my wings naked. But I will certainly try the Alabama white sauce. Wings looks great!
they not side-eyeing you for the order..the all drums people get the same look...its the fac that now they have uneven numbers....and someone has to sort through and pick them out...as opposed to just dropping them in the fryer!

I love blue cheese and I like to steam my wings a bit to melt the fat, then cool them, put in over at 400 degrees to brown, then remove and toss in buffalo sauce. These r crispy but u have to eat them right away otherwise they are dry.

OMG, these look amazing...Im always looking for a healthier version of crispy 'wangs'. Sooo my favorite part of wings....is the little joint with the tips that never come with party wings. 🤣 fight me....all the seasonings congregate on that piece! Flats are a cool runner up and the drumsticks are only eaten if everything else is gone.
