It's interesting that for Q3 removal is so easy. I just dropped my 2014 Q5 to the dealership and for them for do headlight diagnostic it required bumper removal.
Hi Sir, i think spending 58K for changing lights is a bit too much, there are professional shops which charge rs 500-1000 for headlight restoring..Even chrisfix showed us that we can restore old headlights to oem condition by using his hacks..I am 100% sure this is not your car, coz we diy people always try ourselves to brings costs to a minimum.Well i think the owner of the car is out of his mind to spend that much.I can understand if the lights were complelety broken during an accident and you had to replace them, but in this case despite the old headlights being in a fairly good condition, which can easily br refurbrished, but insted spending 58k makes me feel sad.Dont get me wrong Sir, i like the job you did,but the owner could have been wiser, especially only if you go very near to the headlight you can see the problems, i really think using a fine sandpaper and a very good headlight restorer kit could have made it 50-70% better..Well jo log elon musk ke taraf jeete hai, unko yeh sab ek samosa karidne ka barabar hota hai .lol
😅 i also told him ki itni need nahi hai but he insisted , and we ended up changing the lamps . Car belongs to my friend But sir , i have observed lights before and it was beyond the point from where it van be restored . It was not just on the surface of the lens but it was also inside as well .
@@yourDIYneeds Sir ,there are headlight restore centers which completely replace the glass as well, obviously its not oem glasses, since i am from kochi kerala, theres a headlight restore fancy shop in vytilla , i enquired about q3 ,merc c class and bmw 3 series, they charge rs 2500 per headlight to replace the glass, so rs 5000 job is done and comes with a 1 year warrenty. My tata safari Left side headlight had a crack through which water was seeping, i removed the headlight and gave them by morning, by afternoon it was ready and they charged me rs 800.
@@yourDIYneeds Sir,if you are in kerala, you must go and spend sometime in houseboats in alapuzha region and try some good fish fry (karimeen fry) and good biriyanis.
