Happiness is TK Friday. As I watch your full edit, I find ideas on how to post process my own images. Sometime a familiar technique is used in a different order, which is extremely inspirational. After watch these helpful tutorials, I feel empowered to do better editing on my own images. Thanks Dave!
Great! Especially explanation of “color grade” changes. Thanks.
thanks for the tip on how to avoid halos on selections. Much easier than other ways!
Thanks Tony, the more I watch your videos, the more it is all coming together for me. I appreciate the time and effort you put into making these TK8 videos!
Thanks Dave for a wonderful edit!
Historgram tip was very helpful Dave. A full video on the new colour grading tool would be very helpful too.
Enjoyable. Lots of valuable tips. Sometimes I feel like we are taking 20 steps to do one thing, like masking prior to a gradient where I just use the gradient tool.
Great lesson, Dave. The contract and feather a selection is a good tip. Tony's improvements to color grading are great. Thanks for showing us how to use the new features.
Thank you Dave, great edit.
Great working video. Always learn a lot from you. Thanks
Thank you Dave. I like your edit. You were able to breath some life back in a really flat image using a lot of the tools in PS and the TK8 panel. Really informative edit as always.
Just fantastic edit, Dave. I loved it!
Awesome edit Dave! I had forgotten about the green brush. Seeing how you used it in this edit was real cool! I got the beta color grading tool, since I did upgrade to the latest version of Photoshop. I understand Tony is working on a newer version of the TK8 plugin for Photoshop. Do you have any insights on ETA? I'm looking forward to seeing what new features Tony has in store for us. Can't wait!😀
Another great edit Dave, love the selection tip to prevent halos and using the new Beta version so was really good to see the changes for this.
Excellent tutorial as always. Thank you
My pleasure!
Another relaxing TK Friday edit. I haven't updated Photoshop because I don't fix things if they "ain't broken!", but I do like that new gradient tool...
Thanks
Thanks!
Mark thank you so much for the Super Thanks and thanks for sharing your image with the TK Friday audience.
And again, a lot learned :) Thank you. Now I am just dipping my toes into Stereophotography a little and I am wondering what would be the best approach in TB8 to edit such an image? It would be really interesting to see you editing a street image.
Clicking the ACR button normally creates a stamp visible layer automatically. I couldn't work out why you had to do this manually then I realised that the burn layer is a pixel layer which ACR can work on, even if that is not what you intended. Posting this in case anyone else gets caught out by this.
Thanks for pointing that out. That was the reason I did it because the burn layer is a pixel layer and it would have taken the 50% gray layer into the Camera Raw Filter.
Hi, Dave. I’m always happy to take your lessons.
Tk8 beta on windows 10 does not allow me to hide or translate contextual help. Is it waiting?
You should be able to. Go up to the Windows menu in Photoshop and you should find it near the bottom of the long list. Just uncheck “Contextual Task Bar”. It should be there.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly thank you for your answer. I unchecked "Contextual Task Bar" but help always appears as soon as I fly over the "Multi mask beta" panel. There is no more "TK" button for the parameters.
Thanks for your help.
@@sergeonderet8097 Try this. On the new TK8 MultiMask Beta Panel. Click on the TK Button found right below the Color Grading Tool Icon. You can Uncheck Show Tool Tips. I mistakenly thought you were talking about the new Photoshop Contextual Task Bar. This should solve your problem.
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly Thank you Dave, the issue is resolved.
Thanks Dave. Re. The new Multi Mask version when I hover over the colour wheel I get a flickering tooltip even though Tooltips are disabled in preferences which is quite distracting. Any suggestion for preventing this from happening?
Please contact Tony Kuyper and let him know your issue. Here is his Link: goodlight.us/contact.html
@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly I'll do that.
Ah, problem solved: I had not realised that there is also a ToolTips tab in the TK8 Multi-Mask panel itself. The one I had turned off is in theTK8 Cx panel as described 0n Page 60 of the TK8 instruction manual. Onwards and upwards, then!🙂
Thanks!
Thank you for the Super Thanks Steve.
Thanks!
Thank you for the Super Thanks.
