Sir nice video i request you to post detailed balance sheet analysis for big corporate loan for more than 1 Cr. And one modification in your video this year the turnover limit for audit is 5 Cr as per budget.
Thanks for your update. We must learn from each other. Budget 2020 speaks about increase in Tax Audit limit but it is silent on the overall audit i.e preparation of Balance sheet and profit and loss. It will be helpful if you can do some more research on the same and provide me relevant income tax circular.
Very lucidly explained, please incorporate little more aspects used at scale 3/4/5 branches for financial analysis and about creative accounting. With good luck for your all sincere efforts, keep growing & helping the neo bankers
Sir your channel is very helpful and informative. Please make video on associate firms /alied concern/group concern/sister concern..bez there is always confusion among these terms it will be helpful to differentiate..
Sir, if we r accounting installment of long term liability as a current liability, then: 1. Should we account interest portion of installment in P&L account? 2. Principal portion of installment should be reduce from long term liability? Plz guide.
The BGs of my customers are mostly performance guarantees, all of which are more than one year, some are of five years. Hence we consider them as non current investment. Due to this there will be little bit fund diversion from short term to long term which we justify accordingly. But if the BGs are mostly bid guarantees which are used to participate in tenders and generally gets closed in a month or two then you may consider them as current asset. I hope this clarifies.
@@ShuddhDesiBanking sir performance guarantee is also part of working capital how you consider the non current investment ? Because most of the deposit mature with in one year this tym
@@ShuddhDesiBanking sir you r ryt but NFB classification is rare in balance sheet of small borrower so we treated as deposit margin as CA some tym other bank NFB facility also there but only deposit is showing in balance sheet so we assume it as liquid asset .
The credit officer is the best person to take a call on the same. Don't forget to write an explanation. That's all. There are instances when we are forced to consider bad debts as good debts. Presently working on a renewal of hotel account where none of the ratios are complied, NWC negative. Just don't know what to write. There is no chance of improvement of situation in future. The term loan was restructured few months back with lot of effort. It seems we have to do re restructuring.
Around seven years back when I started doing all these I asked my seniors, balance sheet analysis should be done industry specific. Which means if you don't have the data and understanding of large industries in India there is no way you can make any analysis. So I advised that credit officer should be trained in specific domains. But people laughed. Now they have started the procedure. Coming back to your request, there cannot be any single material covering BSA for large borrowers. I strongly vote for industry specific BSA. Going by the type of your questions, it seems that you don't really need guidance on how to calculate ratios and what to understand from them. So I suggest you a step forward, collect the industry reports (in my bank its from CRISIL) from the risk management department of your HO/CO and compare the ratios with the company you are dealing with. That's something different I do than others. Every bank purchase these reports with quite a heavy amount. But officers hardly use them.
