Hey man you are right about the other van dwellers running out of things to say. The difference between them and you is each video you set a goal, stick to it, and achieve it. Instead of bablling about nothing. You are doing a good job promoting the outdoors and beauty of the landscape with those sweet drone shots.
Definitely here for baby wipe flavored meat! No, I'm here for the self sufficiency, simplicity, summit bagging lifestyle, food. I describe for friends what you get to do for a living and I hear "what a lifestyle" I talk to someone I haven't talked to in forever that climbs, and what do ya know, they watch Foresty Forest, and build vans.
You’re my favorite channel BECAUSE of the hiking!! You have a great combo with the hikes and the van foodie sections in most episodes. You do you:hike on!
Keep the hikes part of it! It all is part of why people want to live and build for a van life. Whether they surf, fish, hike or just explore life... its all good....
Hey Forresty Forrest! You keep those videos just the way they are and keep em coming! We love your videos just the way they are! Showing off our amazing country! Take care! I'm sure others are doing van life while bushwhacking to remote mountains to climb them, but I don't know who they are. Foresty is the OG of this niche! Don't follow the crowd of van builds, stick to what brings you joy! =)
I vote nature here. Occasional van building is fine, but I’m here for the view. I also enjoy the cooking. The freshly caught lamb sausage cracked me up.

Don’t feel like you have to cater your content to the “viewers”. I feel like it’s a mistake to chase view counts. Just keep doing what you want and the audience that matters will continue watch and like
Not to mention the insane number of patrons FF has. Each episode's _new_ patreons list can be the same number as some other channel's _entire_ patron list! He may not be that good at bush whacking but that's good hedging!

The rest is a bit meh, though.
Damn man, I have been watching some of the older videos from a year or more ago that you have on. Minivan times, crock pot cooking times. Seeing this shows just how far the progression you have made. Really great job with upgrades!! Keep on going

I love your hikes and that bush whacking was crazy. I really love your drone shots and the music you pick. You are a great cinematographer and editor too.
Another great episode, Foresty! I am here for the whole experience - the van style, the build, the way of life, cooking and hiking with the unreal shooting and views. With time, I realised, that is more and more about the actual personality, so I would probably watch even if you do a whole episodes on washing socks and hiking gear :D Jokes aside, just enjoy your life, and whoever is not comfortable with this... it is simply not your problem. Cheers from Bulgaria!
Come for the vanlife stay for the hiking! Your hiking content is the most authentic I’ve come across, you’ve inspired me to do so much more boundary pushing, can’t make everybody happy!
Those with no spirit of adventure will never understand about the need to see over the next summit. Bad back from my time in Afghanistan keeps me from the high places in my area of the BC Rockies. I get to come along with you and really appreciate what you’re doing. I don’t miss bashing through the Great Wall of devils club though. Safe travels.
I'm here for your kindness, freakiness and how you cope with all those individual problems. It doesn't matter if you hike or build or cook. It is just relaxing to see how you live and what you do. Carry on.
I love your formula; drive a little, cook a little, hike a little and drone a little, while keeping up a steady commentary throughout. When you do some vanlife or visiting others, it's special and not forced like some other channels.
Yes never change your style! You are the only person I have seen on yt, that gets out & hike the selkirks; in real life & not just doing it for photo shoots & yt hits.
I love the hiking aspect of you're videos. One hundred percent total admiration and respect young fella. Keep it up.
Year 2030 Foresty combines love of van life and drone photography to live in a blimp conversion
now that would be really cool!
I actually like that you added some footage of you doing normal things like your laundry. That is as interesting to me as anything else.
He's busy! But I'll give you a spare heart ❤️
😉😁
Hey Forresty Forrest!
You keep those videos just the way they are and keep em coming!
We love your videos just the way they are!
Showing off our amazing country!
Take care!
Your living the dream, and truly don't seem to care what others think, so just keep making your videos the way YOU want!
We'll keep watching em.
Love ya man!
I subscribe to 100’s of channels. Your channel is my only “instant click” when I see a new video. Thank you FF and keep it up!
I'm sure others are doing van life while bushwhacking to remote mountains to climb them, but I don't know who they are. Foresty is the OG of this niche! Don't follow the crowd of van builds, stick to what brings you joy! =)
Amen ,
I vote nature here. Occasional van building is fine, but I’m here for the view. I also enjoy the cooking. The freshly caught lamb sausage cracked me up.
There is nothing this man does that I don’t love...love the hikes, the drone shots, the music and Foresty just seems like a genuinely nice guy
With all do respect to your viewers that do not enjoy the hiking part of your videos, they can watch other videos... this is who you are, this is your channel. Personally i have bad hips and could NEVER do what you do, I love your hiking videos you do such an exceptional job at videoing that i can't help but feel like i am with you. Keep up the great work! Keep on doing you... thank you
I love everything on this channel, even the bike tours before I came on!
totally agree. The early bike tours have great music. Highly recommend
I sub mostly for the hiking/peak bagging. The van building and cooking are bonuses.
I appreciate the hiking! haha I also appreciate the bushwacking being from Vancouver Island and shwacking through the forest here
To each their own I guess but for me personally love EVERY morsel of Forest Forest's content never getting enough. And I'm totally the opposite, don't hike, hate cooking, camping fishing yeah right LOL. Like other's mentioned it's Foresty Forest's infectious personality that's the biggest captivator with the rest just being the icing on the cake.
Foresty, for what it's worth, I watch you because variety is the spice of life and with you, we do get variety. So, thank you!
Well put
I love your hiking content. Helps me appreciate the beauty we live in from an angle I can never see it personally. Thank you!
Foresty, keep travelling and climbing, that is why we watch you
Lucky you got here when you did! The FSR is now in terrible shape from the atmospheric river event. The road is unpassable even to ATVs due to landslides. RIP Kwioek FSR
Please, keep including the hiking footage for those of us living vicariously through you.
I love your videos! They scare me cause I couldn’t imagine myself hiking a mountain AND doing it alone! I do indeed live vicariously thru you. Thanks for letting me come along. Stay safe!
Should get yourself a small Jackery Battery Charger if you don't have one. Comes in handy in a pinch and def helps with gaming recharging lol. Love the hikey stuff too brutha, makes it seem like a journey that you take us on, so ignore the haters.
Yes, he could probably get one for free as a sponsorship deal.
Needs solar.
I'm here for the summit hikes, everything else is just icing on the cake.
As a long term watcher who first found you when you started the second night shift job in the minivan just keep doing you. Screw the complainers, we watch your journey so whatever you do we will continue to watch.
You make the videos you feel like making and I’ll watch them.
For what it's worth, I love your honesty, your humour, your cooking, your traveling, your hiking, your alpine/peak drone footage, your chat/stories/updates in the van, your town segments, the van building, the lack of bikini girls baiting views on the thumbnail, the lack of BS talk about adding orange curtain rail holders to balance the overall look of the blah blah blah. The rest is a bit meh, though.
Damn man, I have been watching some of the older videos from a year or more ago that you have on. Minivan times, crock pot cooking times. Seeing this shows just how far the progression you have made. Really great job with upgrades!! Keep on going
Hey friend, well I've been with you since the early days, whatever content you put out I watch it with loyalty. Keep doing what your doing. Peace and love Davie UK.
Your hiking bits are the BEST! Just epic!
I love the hiking aspect! Keeping climbing Forest!
There's a lot of love here for exactly what you're doing. As long as you want to do it, most of us will happily keep watching. :-)
I come for the hiking, stay for the drone footage! Don't change anything. Thanks for the content.
Carry on.
I just watch the movies for the nature, hikes, and your personality. Please keep it up, it's great!
My prior life was living in the back road selkirks; living in a cabin & heating with wood. Bulls, coyotes, wolves & bears in my yard was an everyday thing. Watching you; brings back those wonderful memories.
