I'm a new theater kid I started watching musicals like four or five months back and I have seen Hamilton in the Heights Cats the musical Newsies West Side Story Wicked (forgot all of the songs) Beetlejuice High School Musical Into the Woods sounds music yeah what are some major ones I should see I think the perfect rating for me is like PG-13 because it's a Perfect Blend✌ Also what is the Phantom of the Opera about I know it's super popular and I really want to see it but I kind of want to know what it's about first
My Top 3 are Hadestown, Twisted, and Falsettos, which I think would all be considered PG-13. Phantom was my favorite when I first got into musicals, and I still love all the songs. It's about an opera singer who's sort of being simultaneously mentored and haunted by the "ghost" of the opera house -- it's about her efforts to be free of him and kind of the mystery of who he is and why he's like this. Lots of romance lots of drama lots of gorgeous-sounding music, it's a good time.
