      Real powerful men (or women) are. They're confident and don't have anything to prove to anyone and especially themselves… Bullies are insecure little cowards bollocks…

    You can do exercises that will strengthen your hands and wrists, you can concentrate on techniques that don't involve your hands (headbutts, knees, elbows, chops and thrusts to the throat) or you can study an art that relys on speed more than strength like Wing Chun.

      Muay thai was be like this
      untill 19 century that we have
      epic fight between the bestThai and Khmer fighter
      in a fight name พยุหะศัสตรา that mean you can use any limp to fight
      but attack with teeth or attack to penis is unlegal
      This fight the Khmer die
      after thet about 2 year
      it have another case that fighter die so Thai fight society( สมาคมมวยไทย) meeting to make new rule
      for muay thai many letal final attack are not legal anymore
      many technique that opponant never fight back if they don't know how exactly to defeat it are not legal anymore technique that can
      eazily break the joint and bone are not legal anymore
      even we band very dangerous technique but i see many matail art want to show they better than muay thai by fight without knee attack or elbow attack they cant stand for a minute with mono style
      muay thai in the past including noob one like this ua-cam.com/video/OF3gQr_QCLo/v-deo.html
      look at 23.30-25.00
      in the past muay thai can catch opponant untill they cant attack other for 3 breath

      Your body joins are your weakness. When you swinging with your arms or legs the end part is the impact part, so stopping it you gotta stop it from the join before the impact. This is how thai boxing is known for. Your opponent will loose the power over balance. Your wasting your energy with no result.

  • @SkyeElRahi
    @SkyeElRahi 11 років тому

    There is a use in Kata. That is why they make you do it over and over and over again. So that it becomes natural to you to do the move. And there are many Katas depicting a certain situation so that if you truly memorize and follow the flow will be natural to you.

    @Reapper2 it also leaves you more vulnerable to attack since a lot of the stances are open. you have to be very strong and able to take a lot of beating, of course the results are that if you survive, it means your opponent is lying in crumpled heap being scooped up by a sponge :)

  • @darkmarvel

    @Spenser523 He's not Japanese, he's actually Thai. His main fighting style is Muay Thai (Thai Boxing)

  • @MasterEppe
    @MasterEppe 14 років тому

    @Spenser523 In his older movies I believe he uses modern Wushu. I haven't seen them. The names of the movies are Hard gun and spirited warrior. I've read that they are not supposed to be good but i don't know. He has also made Ong Bak 2 and Ong bak 3 is out in Thailand.

  • @Fishoustuna
    @Fishoustuna 17 років тому

    Yes, that is what Tony Jaa Practices, the martial art of Muay Thai (I believe Boran is the actual fighting style, and Thai is mainly forms). It focuses (obviously) at strike points (pressure points and joints) using mainly, elbows, knees, and shins.

    ive acutally studied muay thai for almost 7yrs now and i was learning that alongside ninjutsu and honestly, it doesnt matter what style you know. if u completely master a style then youll be a challenge for any style...of course, ninjutsu was created by using bits and pieces of various different style...

    Are those grappling techniques apart of his Elephant Muay Thai style he developed?

  • @erthdirt1
    @erthdirt1 15 років тому

    What Tony Jaa practices is not Muay-Thai, which loosley translated means Thai-Boxing, which is a ring-sport like UFC. Tony Jaa practices a martial-art called Muay-Boran (ancient-boxing) which is meant more for self-defense than sport-fighting with referees and gloves.

  • @natimpact
    @natimpact 17 років тому

    IT's muay boran, the original muay thai
    "muay" in Thai means"art of fighting"(boxing)
    "Muay Thai" = Thai art of fighting.(in thai)
    Boran in Thai means " Ancient"
    Muay Boran = Ancient art of fighting(in thai)
    I hope this helps

    @IndoKurd I know, he is allowed to leave and come back 3 times, but it is frowned upon when someone leaves the monkhood. I don't think he'll stay this time, but I think after he comes back and conquers the world, he will return to the monkhood, and then spend the rest of his life there.

    Martial arts teaches you to defend yourself only and to bring focus/discipline to your mind as well. If anything it teaches you to AVOID violence.

  • @sagmann20
    @sagmann20 16 років тому +1

    ive heard this before and agree on some level. Ive trianed martial arts all my life, but you must understand the paradox in training [essentially] in violence to avoid violence, or out of hatred of violence. There are many types of violence and pure unadulterated violence is most often bad, usually ending in fatal injury and or death. But some might say football is violent, or boxing, or even childbirth...Violence itself is neutral in nature, thats why i feel they can't truly hate violence.

    @ultimatehammer I'm sorry, but have you seen Onk Bak 2? No one can handle that many weapons, with the skill he does in that movie, with just "a years training in muay boran" and everybody knows he does his own stunts. So there is no one doubling for him. I'm no martial arts expert, but even I can tell he's had more than a years worth of training in martial arts.

    yes these guys are actors but that doesnt mean they didnt study or practice martial arts for most of their life, this is why the fight choreography is so great. These guys are real martial artist. If you were making a movie like Stomp the Yard, you would employ people that would have a deep back ground in dance...so martial movie employ martial artist. And just because you punch someone in the face inside a ring doesnt make your talent any better than those that use if for movies.
