- Here is a great, one of the best blues rock guitar solos, tab´d and notated for free. The solo is from a song "Cannonball Shuffle" by Robben Ford. You can find this tune on the album "Keep On Running"
Four 12-bar rounds that I try to breakdown to the best of my ability:
1st round: 2:45
2nd round 6:06
3rd round: 9:47
4th round: 15:34
Here is the link to download notes/tabs, enjoy!

Holy smokes! I’ve been studying this tune forever and struck gold with your demo. Now I just found out you posted tabs too! What a generous gesture on your part to lend a hand to us amateurs.
Hey thanks! We're all amateurs when it comes to Robben :-)
Looks like ill be busy for a while! Thanks man!
Thanks Joe! It's a wonderful solo worth to learn well!
Awesome Marko, love your videos. Thanks so much for your generosity!
Thanks!
Hat's off to you. I've been working on this for years and can appreciate the feat of playing this cleanly at speed.
Indeed!
Many thanks David!
Excellent - just found your channel - pretty happy about that
Thanks!!
Wonderful stuff. Thank you.
Cheers!
Awesome thank you sir.👏👌🎸
Thanks Paul!
Thank you for the tabs and lesson
Cheers Dennis!
One of my favourite solos of all time. Knowing robben ford he probably improvised this, which is insane. It's so well phrased and the ideas are so clever and musical.
Thanks for sharing! Saved me the time working it all out by ear 😂
Yep that is insane as he probably just improvised it, great stuff! Thanks Ollie!
Most excellent my friend!
Hey Jeff! Been digging your lockdown broadcasts, awesome!! Stay safe brother
How does this channel not have more subs? Marko, as well as being a great teacher you are an excellent player in your own right. I really dig your Truefire stuff!
Hey, many thanks!! I'd probably should be more active with the channel, in order to get more subs. However, some original music is coming shortly on the channel, with live recorded videos as well👍😊
@@MarkoKarhu New music and live stuff??? Now you're talking! As Neil Young said, Live music is better. Bumper stickers should be issued!"
@@angrybuzzy Haha, kinda live as we filmed in the studio. Hope all goes well, I'll be able to get those out during this year
Thank you, great of you to share this. Robeen Ford technique is good to learn
Thanks Joe!
Why does this not have many thousands of likes???
Hey Marko. Amazingly well-played, and such a spot on transcription! You have a great feel for playing in this style. I've been playing this solo for several years, but there were a number of places in my version that just didn't sound quite right. Now, thanks to you, I know why! Looking forward to working on this. We all need some new challenges during Covid. And- I love your sound! What amp and pedals did you use for this recording?
Hey James. Many thanks for the kind words!! Absolutely, good time for some challenges now with on/off lockdowns. I was playing ´64 Deluxe Reverb and Royal Blue Overdrive in in front
Thanks much Marko! I'm sure a lot of the magic is in your fingers, but that is a fine sounding overdrive. I've been using a zen drive for a long time, but it lacks that nice bit of bite that the Royal Blue seems to have. The Royal Blue just sounds more like a real tube amp, a bit over the breakup line.
@@jamesmckay4633 Zen is great as well
Thanks for all your effort in transcribing and teaching this great song. At 75 years old, I still enjoy learning new material. This song provides me with many happy hours of practice in the Green Mountains of Vermont. You do Robben Ford justice.
Many thanks Ray and greetings from Finland. Happy learning, it is a wonderful solo by Robben.
Thanks for this brilliant lesson. By the way, did you ever visit Nagaland in India or something? That red colored shawl behind you looks like a Naga shawl!!
Thanks! Shawl is from Peru :-)
@@MarkoKarhu Wow interesting! It has such striking similarity with the tribal shawl of Nagaland, India!
@@rockgemini It belongs to a friend of mine, who we share this working room together with, and that's what he told me... Maybe this shawl found it´s way to Peruvian market place from India :-)
@@MarkoKarhu I see.. That's a mystery then. Lol 😆
Excellent work. My favorite Robben solo used to be the one in Montreux, you know the one. However, it has been pushed into second place with the one he did in The Netherlands!

The buildup is just _insane_ on this one.
Many thanks! I will check your link later on, cheers
Thank you for your help.
Cheers Kenta
@@MarkoKarhu Kanpai!
Great stuff, thanks for sharing your transcription!
Cheers!
You always inspire me. Killer job man!
Many thanks Jay!
Think we've had this conversation before, can't find the tab but never mind i transcribed this one a long time ago myself, interesting to see the slight differences of choice but thank you for all you do, love your playing and hope the confinement isn't too hard to deal with, all the best !!

Excellent!!
Thanks Don!

Let's see if can, I'd love to
@@MarkoKarhu i really hope you get to do it, it would be awesome!
Hello Marko! Great, just great! Love the playing, love the tone! Speaking of the tone... What pups are those you have in the LP? Keep 'em coming bro! Utmost respect!
