This is so on point! Thank you for this. And thank you, too, for showing your older paintings versus your recent ones. Wow! Bravo!

    I resonated to your "Impatient"
Just yesterday, I tried to paint a swan. Midway I wanted to give up.
Luckily I took a break & continued painting later in the day & it turned out great.
I realised how impatient I was & apparently I'm not alone on this :)

Thank you.... As a beginner I have every one of these errors 😆. I detail absolutely everything and end up with something akin to 'Wheres Wally'. Looking forward to having a go at being much more loose!..... Oh wait.... There's a blade of grass 😆🌾

And again good load of theory supported with decent examples. I am a beginner still in this medium and I've noticed that early stages of watercolor experience are destined to fail just because this medium is so complex and so rich of possibilities which naturaly make painters overwhelmed ( or at least me ). I think the only way to progress is to give ourselves enough credit and practice, practice, practice... Then practice again 🙂

Do you recommend a certain big mop brush (size, etc.)? I realized all of my brushes are too small!

I had noted as a beginner ( like me ..though 5 years yo yo with watercolour)...we like tight realistic art..then as you see and observe more we tend start to understand more impressionistic style. Why is it so?

Great content as always! But please, don't flip the image anymore, it flips me out to see the table moving around 😅
