Omgosh Jorge, the column is stunning!!! I love everything you do! It fascinates me how you never splatter your drapes! I would end up with splattered without a doubt! Even trying to be careful i somehow get paint up my elbows and face lol😅😂 but you work so clean! When i see your beautiful drapes behind you when your about to diy i kinda cringe 😂 but you never splatter! How do you do it!! Anyway another fantastic video Jorge thank you! God bless you. 😊😊xx

One way to minimize the bleed under tape would be the following. 1. Paint the entire thing gray. 2. Tape as you did. 3. Paint the stripes between the tape with the same gray paint. It will bleed under the tape and protect it from further bleeding. 4. Paint the final contrast color over the tape. 5. Remove the tape.
Also, just a little something...if you accidentally spill iron sulfate fertilizer onto your concrete driveway, it results in a rust stain. You might be able to make concrete projects look like they were made of iron with a little fertilizer.

I really liked the plain concrete finish with its natural texture. I think the black paint makes it look a it basic.
As always, great projects, however, if i had that tall column, I would put a cascading fern to make it less funeral like with the flowers.

Really like the 2nd lamp with all the texture. I’m not sure If it wud work but w/ air dry clay u can mold handles directly onto the piece.

edit: i loooove the piece! for me I was thinking of making it a floor lamp, getting a globe light from ikea and just drilling a hole in the center and flushing it through.

I love both but the lamp looks really really authentically antique to me, so that would be me favorite. However, I can see the pedestal project working in my environment if the finish were more like the lamp!

hello! great idea. I'm just wondering if this is heavy enough to prevent it from being tipped over. I have children so while I love this idea, I need to make it child proof. Do you have any tip on that? I was thinking maybe pour concrete down the concrete column up to inches thick to give it some weigh, but not sure if the dish could support the weigh. Please let me know if you have any recommendations.
