@@jonnytreehouse thank you Jonny. Yes, I am doing okay. It feels very strange not having to go to work, but I think that I will soon get used to it. My main emotions are joy and freedom. Starting to pack for Thailand. Keep well.
Thank you from me as well. It has been fun. 'That boat opposite' was frustrating me something awful. I just wish the boat yards would teach them about pushing off one end or the other depending on the tide. If you just hold you boat and let the tide tell you what it is doing it is quite simple. They could have reversed off of there about 10 times. Very strange. Good job it wasn't a windy day. Edited to say have a lovely Christmas and an even better New Year.
Always give way to tide, and just for you, stick your stern out and keep it going by going for and aft, the further the stern is out the better it is, a boat does not steer by the front, it pivots round about its centre axis, bow goes right, stern goes left and vice versa, get it 👌👍
You can tell it's the end of the season, there were some very rough sounding engines coming under the bridge and then that beautiful old wooden cruiser gliding serenely under. Class like that really shows up the plastic bathtub brigade
phew , finally , i thought they were never going to get off the bank , & it's an easy boat to drive , as we've had a couple of those , a couple of years ago .
@@jonnytreehouse well, it makes sense, the rule applies here in Germany. But are the hireboaters aware if they are traveling with or against the tide …😉
@gabrielecox365 probably not, it’s not something the boatyards say to hirers, well they’ve never made me aware, but there is a good app that you can use for tides.
Thank you for another great video. Good to see your channel growing. All the best from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you, I always appreciate your support and comments. I hope you are doing ok?

Never let that put you off! I just share the highlights! You’ll slip under that bridge with no problem

It was painful to witness!
The boat at 9:28 That would be my choice .
Who has right of way going under the bridge?
As far as I am aware it’s whoever is travelling with the flow of the tide has the right of way.
@@jonnytreehouse thank you 😀
@gabrielecox365 no problem, I’m sure if I’m incorrect someone will let us know 😉
