Go Up is basically SB19's debut song and had more of an attuned K-Pop concept. It is also the same song that got them international recognition literally a month after their debut. (A little TMI, they were almost ready to give up after their debut because of practically a month of no big impact to the industry. They thought Go Up and their debut was a flop, then all of a sudden they became a buzz in the international scene right as they were about to decide to give up.) Over time, they have been experimenting a variety of genres by adding a dash of their own colors and culture to their music. Their foundation is K-Pop based, because they trained the same way as Korean idols in a Korean-owned entertainment company based in the Philippines (ShowBT) And when they debuted they started to, little by litte, incorporate their Filipino background to their own music and then add a bit of their own individual colors. That's why Mapa, What? And Bazinga had more of their own character to it. That's why it feels K-Pop but also doesn't and the genre is very VERY flexible... Also just my personal opinion, I feel like SB19 triggered an eye-opener for the Philippine ebtertainment industry to up their artist's game and improve the quality of showmanship, especially in groups. And be competitive internationally, not only in the "singing only" or "dance only" categories but the general entertainment fields or the P-Pop scene.

It was their dance practice video that made them go viral. Their first single, Tilaluha, didn't get them any attention when they released it in 2018. They've been training and working hard for years and decided to release one more song, Go Up in 2019. All members came to an agreement that they would disband if things still didn't work out. After releasing the song, it seemed as if nothing changed but when they uploaded their dance practice, the video went viral. Go Up is SB19's redemption song and the lyrics of the song really hit hard if you think about the circumstances of the group during the time the song was released. That's why a lot of people really appreciate SB19. We know they're really talented and are such hard workers so they totally deserve all the success they're experiencing now and in the future.
