Using the same filter for 3 years and saying that it's good... I'm buying it! I saw the original video that's 3 years old now and you were very impressed at that time. You convinced me.
Took a punt on one of these a few months back, and it's been brilliant. Bit fiddly dialling it in on the gimbal, and I find myself knocking the ND when setting the CPL as well. But that comes with having a two in one filter I guess. All my filters are the K&F Nano X range. Top quality for half the price of the Tiffen stuff in my experience.
No, you can't stack a polarizer and a variable ND, because the VND is 2 polarizer with one of the 2 inverted. If you do that you risk getting crazy color casting and actually removing ND stops. Anyway great video as always!!! 😊
Been using these K&F ND/CPL filters for a few years now and I will not put anything else on the front of the lens. They are so good, reasonably cheap compared to the 'pro' versions and I actually prefer the neutral colour shift in these. Oddly the older orange version of these filters say 2-5 stop on the side of them.
I had no idea K&F had an updated version. I just posted a video on my channel comparing some of the less expensive options, including the K&F. I found it worked really well and was my top pick!
*I bought a Similar K&F Concept Nano-X Pro Variable ND2-ND400 Filter (58mm, 1-9 Stop) and it works but I also had to buy an Adapter for fit it on my 15mm lens and I love it and it's much easier too move the filter slide and I get NO X Marks which I never knew about with my other K&F filters*
Why you pro UA-camr content creator are getting confused? There are 2 different metrics: one is mentioned as stop of light and the other ND strength. So for you guys there a simple cheat sheet: - 2 ND = 1 stop of light - 4 ND = 2 stop of light - 8 ND = 3 stop of light - 16 ND = 4 stop of light - 32 ND = 5 stop of light - 64 ND = 6 stop of light - 128 ND = 7 stop of light - 256 ND = 8 stop of light - 512 ND = 9 stop of light So when you’re seeing in their website 2 ND it’s same as saying 1 stop of light.
Looks good - I have stacked my PolarPro PMVD and CPL so not sure if I will get one on these or not just got the PolarPro Shortstache Everyday they are sweet !
Did you notice much difference from the first version of this filter? I just watched your review from 3 years ago as well and the filter look very similar.
hi sam, thanks for the review. does the filter have vignette when you use lumix 18mm lens 1.8 with this fillter? or the other ultra wide lens like 16-28 sigma lens?
Convinced me, and I ordered a few as well as the mist. Just a heads up, your link didn’t work for me in Australia. So I ended up using a local supplier.
Honestly I was really surprised at the quality of this filter. I’d have no problem using this as my main filter. I do like the colour cast the Polar Pro gives BUT that’s personal taste. This one is more neutral
It's literally the only way to use CPL correctly in my opinion, because it works best in sunlight, but can't dim light enough and therefore needs an ND filter. The best thing is that CPL+ND dims light just as much as CPL alone, so you don't need to own separate CPL filters.

impressive footage, Sam informative video too.
Using this one since last 2 years.
Love your videos brother, keep up the great quality. Thanks for the info in your content 🤝
Thank YOU! 🤩🙏🏻🎥

I picked Haida Pro II...truly awesome....
Got the Haida also. I wished they made marks on the filter when the polarizer is on or off.
@@Valerossi0 True!
Me too 👍
Great video, Sam. K&F filters are excellent.
Top stuff Sam, nice to have met you at the Photography show, earlier this year, cheers fella
Thanks Seb. 🤩🙏🏻 yeh, likewise. Thanks for tuning in. Hope you’re well 🎥
I just picked up a Neewer True color 1-9 stop VND and I haven't had any real issues with color cast, and it was pretty inexpensive - around $60.

Danny looks almost handsome in this new footage ! 😂

Once you’ve tried magnetic filters, it’s difficult to go back to the regular one !

Yeh it’s much better built and the glass is so much better. The coating and the colour cast etc
@@SamHolland Legend thank you!
Is there a lens cap for this? That's a must.

Oooo thank you for letting me know 🙏🏻
May I ask how much of a difference there is between the K&F filter and your Polar Pro variable ND filter with image quality?
Honestly I was really surprised at the quality of this filter. I’d have no problem using this as my main filter. I do like the colour cast the Polar Pro gives BUT that’s personal taste. This one is more neutral
How do you tell if it is the new version when ordering ?
Hi. If you follow the link in description it will take you to the correct one 🙏🏻
I’m thinking of getting the nisi true colour one
what brand of mist filter u using ? ☺️

What lens are you vlogging on?
This was the 16-35 lumix
Is this the 2-64 or 2-32 version? Thanks
What strength of mist you use 😮
1/4 I think that was
They would better if ring wasn’t larger in diameter than the lens cap
No 55mm though :)
I guess it says 2 stops because a CPL is already one stop?
Wait yal using these filters for cameras? i have them as sunglasses 😎

K&F filters always get stuck on lenses. They don't seem to fix that issue.
Aliexpress was personal because i have some from there 😂
