Dude, I love how you explain stuff. Sometimes I find these types of videos too nerdy and I come away with more questions than answers. I've been considering whether I need a light meter and looked into that exact model. I just got the Tide Optics ND filters because of you (loving them) so once I might add the light meter next. Cheers man! Keep 'em coming! 🚀🚀🚀🚀
Hey! Thanks so much for watching. I’m pleased you find the videos helpful and glad you’re enjoying the Tide filter. They’re a great brand and are constantly improving their products and lines. Take care 🙏🏻🤩🎥
AAAMAZING TIPS!! Thank you so much for this 🙏🙏 I just subscribed and binged a bit 😅 Question: do you ever change the shutter speed to adjust your exposure?
As someone who is aspiring to make short films. You were the most informative and most explanatory person I could’ve found. Absolutely amazing video. You’ve gained a subscriber bro
Two things: 1: This has been immensely helpful for me, as someone who has a nice camera but videography is a tool for me to share my art practice. I'm not a videographer. Thank you 2: I can't help but hear "shitter speed" when you say shutter speed. Granted I'm watching/listening to this while I clean and keep rewinding so I've probably hear you say "shutter speed" 3 or 4 times more than the average person lmao. Nothing to be insecure about, so I'm hope this doesn't come across that way. I just wanted to share an observation :)
yeah, no doubt, I just watched 3 in a row. That rarely happens where I watch three in a row from the same channel. I wasn't even trying to watch anything like this lol. And I've seen this video before. But, it's got some really sweet gems in it.
I just love how clearly you explain everything. I also really like your little asides like when your light is misbehaving. Many would cut this but I think it makes your videos more effective as it makes you much more relatable. I’m going through the joys of setting up studio lighting at the moment and I feel your pain.
Finally!!!! I have been wanting to start a UA-cam channel (indoor talking head videos). Know nothing about cameras, video, editing, etc. I bought the Sony ZV-E10 because a bunch of UA-camrs say it's the right one. The settings are overwhelming to me and it's filled with jargon and options that fly over my head. This is the first time I see a video where I kind of start to understand some of those core concepts. I wish there were more videos like this for all the other dozens of concepts one needs to understand.. Bro, I don't know you, but if you have a Sony ZV-E10 with original lens and can explain step by step how to set up the camera for indoor talking head videos for UA-cam, that would be lifesaving, literally. Conversely, I can always try to to sell the Sony ZV-E10 and get that new DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and have less settings....lol.
Hi. I’m so pleased this video helped. I’ve got a bunch of videos on the channel about white balance and exposure etc but this video here might be a good place to start ua-cam.com/video/TBP6qFBfft0/v-deo.htmlsi=4l_RQ61LuKes0n8m I hope this helps. I don’t use Sony cameras so I can’t show you have to navigate all the menus but I do offer 1-1 video lessons on videography AND UA-cam strategy, so when you feel ready, head over to www.sam-holland.com and I’ll be happy to help you get started and feel confident with the camera and your channel 🙏🏻🎥
Man i learned more from this video than i thought possible. Amazing. I didnt even realize what i didnt know...dang it, now i have to watch ALL of your videos.
Working my way through your videos on exposure, white balance, colour grading etc this morning! Thank you for your efforts in producing such clear and useful guides - which are also very entertaining! ☺🙏
That's all fine information wanted to point out to every one, However, if your shooting LOG, lets say Sony SLOG 3 well you most likely want to shoot 1 or 2 stops over exposed, and than bring it down in post, that is what these Dynamic range nerds do, you see they do this trick to get good exposure all around background and subject because setting proper exposure especially out doors is tricky because of harsh sunlight so they want to be able to bring out the blow out crap in post.. How ever I do Shoot in Log and only over expose a quarter stop over but i don't do it because of easy exposure settings I do it that way for easier color grading so i only need to go 1 quarter stop over for that.. and i don't shoot a the Native Log ISO people think if you shoot at base ISO like 100 or 200 you can't shoot log which is nonsense, you can shoot SLOG 3 and use ISO 200 it's going to make your image even better, how ever your going to need more light to shoot a those lower ISO numbers unless your shooting out doors, so in STUDIO you need plenty of light which is what i do i use multi powerful defused lights to get a good light balance without blowing out parts of the scene and shoot at 200 ISO almost every time, WHY?? because you get hardly any noise in your image and you don't have to over expose and than in post bring the exposer down trick to darken the noise, that is what these people do, they overexpose, And than bring the exposer down so the nose goes away. But if you shoot at 200 ISO to begin with you don't need to do that crap because there is no noise to begin with.. Now i have the SONY FX30 and i use the Ninja V+ so there is a setting in my camera to out put my camera's REC 709 LUT out of the camera into the NINJA so i don't have to apply the LUT in post, this works best for me because i can see on my NINJA monitor exactly what i'm getting SHOOTING LOG after what it would look like applying the LUT in POST, so that way i don't have that BS to do in post. and i only overexpose 1 quarter stop over this is the safest setting my image is never too dark introducing noise and in post if i need i can go down 1 quarter stop easily and i never have highlights too blow out ever.. Most of the time i don't even need to touch the exposer slider just the highlight, and boom it's perfect.. Here is a video that Gerald Undone did about if you can Shoot LOG and use ISO 200 if you don't believe me he proved it.. go to his channel and look for "Shooting Below Native ISO - Good Idea or Bad?"
Sam, thank you - you have helped me make sense of a subject that absolutely made no sense to me :) I love film and have stuff I feel it's worthwhile shooting [but then i would, wouldn't I🤣], but I've always felt myself to be one of the "all the gear but no idea" brigade until now. I just love the way you explain things so clearly and in a way my bear-with-a-small-brain can understand. And it's all leavened by your sharp sense of humour and the outtakes most UA-camrs would edit out. Thank you!
Thanks man 🤩🙏🏻 I’m Pleased this helped. That was definitely my idea for this video... to have it all in one place but not too complex. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🎥
Thanks for the lesson! I like the way you walked through the various settings, and how to make adjustments. Like your statement, I know about the various aspects of exposure, but you brought it all together. I know I still have a steep learning curve, but this helps tremendously.
We're a young channel on UA-cam. But we always wanted to be quality-centric with both our content and the way we shoot. Starting in an era with computational videography, I think we were somewhat spoiled with how the newest smartphones did it. We started with that. And gradually moved to using our Sony ZV-1. We fell in love with it, more so their picture profiles, and just how much control we could get in post with the end result from a camera! No matter how hard a phone tried, once you're used to using a device with a bigger sensor, there's really no going back. But even then, fear gripped us with how complicated everything looked from manual white balance to exposure, shutter speed and aperture controls. All the concepts. I stuck with using the Program Auto mode. It was pretty cool. And considering we shot dogs and animals mostly, and on a gimbal to boot, it made sense. We still knew that there was a lot of value in manual control though. But after going through tens of channels, we found you. You inspired so much confidence with your explanations. We're using full manual controls in controlled environments now. And it's been amazing! Still a few mistakes here and there. But baby steps! As the person behind the camera, I feel so much more connected with the control I have now. And my partner's pretty excited about this as well. I've since devoured your content. From clean concepts to information dumbed down so even beginners are able to feel at ease with the intimidating world of proper cameras, thank you. Funnily enough, we wanted to save enough to eventually upgrade to a Sony A7C. But since watching your content, we've since locked our eyes onto the Lumix S5. An added thank you for that. Much love! 🙂
Hello to both of you! 🤩 thanks so much for the kind words 🙏🏻 I’m extremely pleased you’re finding value from my videos and glad they’re helping you make better decisions on cameras that suit you and that you’re learning and growing your skills 🥳🎥 Thanks for being valued subscribers 📺
@@SamHolland Thank you for taking the time to respond to us! When we're finally able to get our hands on an S5, you'll find us in your comments again all excited and giddy! 😄
My pleasure! 🙏🏻 that’s exciting stuff! I look forward to hearing from you and if you have any questions, just ask 💪🏻🎥 all the best to you both. There’s an S5 setup video on my channel if you need any help when that arrives
This a great video! I'm a beginner and I'm trying to find a good way, for me, to get the right exposure. Thank you very much for taking the time to explain all this!
I'm glad you brought in the light meter and introduced the concept of on an incident reading as opposed to a reflective reading. Using the in built meter can often be misleading on bright, or dark, scenes as the camera tries to expose for 18% grey. Perhaps that might be the subject of another video and using a grey card?
FINALLY, after DAYS of trying and searching on my own Thank you Sam for the great explanation! Super Helpful and finally have my lighting and camera settings dialed in!
I think you are the first person that does video that uses light meters, always considered one, but only could find photographers using them. Exposure has plagued me forever, not that I'm usually overexposed, but definitely underexposed and had to fix it in post.
Yoooo. THANK YOU. I don't know how I haven't learned this already or how I haven't seen it on other photography channels I follow But for real, thank you.
Thank you 🤩🙏🏻 let me know what you would like to learn the most and I’ll try and incorporate those things into my videos. Thank you for watching and I hope this helps 🎥🤩
@@SamHolland I too own canon R6 ( Beginner ) but can i get a video how to shoot in log ( like all the perfect settings) and color color and grade it to get the look like your videos does.
Funny, I never noticed until you said it, that doubling (or halving) the ISO equals raising (or lowering) 1 stop of exposure! Thank you for that aha moment!
Awesome videos, Sam! I have watched at least three of yours today, and I like that you cover all the bases on each subject in a very clear way. I bought an external monitor to set my exposure using false colours, and manually white balancing each scene with a white card. Works great for me, and I want to thank you for sending me in the right direction as I used to think, "Fix it in post!" LOL! All the best from British Columbia, Canada! You have another subscriber!
This's a phenomenal video Sam.Watched it some months ago but I always had a nagging question:HOW DO YOU SET THE CORRECT EXPOSURE TO THAT "MIDDLE POINT"😉😉😉😉 AFTER PUTTING AN ND FILTER ON??????????????
Great video. I have just bought the LUMIX S5 and I am new to this whole vlogging/video world. This has massively helped me get my head around exposure. I had been struggling a little with the set up of the S5 so your videos are helping speed up the learning process.
@@SamHolland I am struggling to find how to display the exposure meter in my cameras display along the bottom. Where do I turn it on and allow it to be displayed on screen. Massive thanks if you respond as I am pulling hair out and it will help me get my head around the whole exposure thing.
Good information !!! Clear cut on the information, well done. I do have a question on Sharpness of the footage. Can you make a video on determining the Sharpness of the footage, especially when the footage needs to be projected on Cinema theater
thanks for the info.. you did a great tutorial... wish you would do more tutorials and explain something like D Lighting as well if there is any such thing for video... I only use it for photography with D Lighting....tks...
Hey that’s good. I’m so pleased you enjoyed this one and hope it helped. Ah yeh it’s gonna be a good one for filming outside that’s for sure 🤩 Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🎥
One of the best easy to understand explanation of how to alter exposure without getting tempted to expose anything .... what about Zebras ? And how did you record the camera setting etc ? Awesome video Blue!
Ooooh do you mean how did I get the camera settings onto my screen?... I used the ninja v and set it so that the HDMI output showed my camera screen 👌🏻 Zebras are super handy. I love using zebras as a monitoring tool when there’s a lot of things to watch out for in the frame
Great explanation! Actually really diggin all the R5/R6 videos for reference! Quite funny that you are probably one of a handful who suggest the light meter in the camera - which I do too! Sadly Canon doesn‘t offer any metering mode in video - wondering what their algorithm is on this but my question regarding this and metering with the Sekonic: do you still tend to overexpose by one step in general when focusing on skin tones? 😎
Honestly, they all do pretty much the same thing… however, I’ve had a few budget ones overheat and also cut out and just stop working completely so my advice would be to save up a little extra and go for the shinobi - ua-cam.com/video/rNG4Hk2u08A/v-deo.html
🤩 thanks for watching 🙏🏻🎥 For the talking head clips?? I use one of these ua-cam.com/video/rccZ-qwJ01s/v-deo.html But they’ve since brought out a 1/8 version which I prefer and use now
Well done man! An absolute masterclass on exposure. Haven’t seen such a comprehensive, well thought out breakdown on this subject on here in a while. Def sending this video to all my friends just getting into film & photography. Btw, did you change shirts in the middle of filming? 😜
Thanks so much man 🤩🙏🏻 so pleased you enjoyed this one and hopefully it helps your buddies! 👌🏻 Haha! Well I filmed it once but I wanted the examples to be easier to understand and also switch up the angles a bit to keep you interested... and to see who noticed 😂 Thanks for watching brother. I just watched your Super 73 video loved it 🤩🔥🎥 best colour
Thank you! This is so well explained and how to achieve best result. Thanks mate 👍👌👏 I hope you're able to sort that light out, look like a loose connection or something? 😬⚡⚡⚡
Thanks Ali 🤩🙏🏻 I’m pleased you enjoyed the video and hopefully it helps. Yeh it must be a loose connection inside as the power cable seems to be ok. I’ve just swapped it out for another one for the time being. Thanks for watching 🤩🙏🏻👌🏻
@@SamHolland Watched again as doing my own product photoshoot, so helpful to get my camera settings right and adjust studio lights, etc. Thanks again! 👍👌
Hi. You could change the shutter speed but it will alter the motion blur so you would usually stick to the 180 rule which is double the frame rate. But there are no rules 😛 do what you want to make it look how you want. Just be mindful 🙏🏻
Amazing video... everything I've been learning has been the 1/180 rule for shutter for Pro video... am I missing something - 1/50? Should we be experimenting with shutter like this or only 180? Cheers, any help appreciated :))
Hey Sam awesome video tha k you.. Iv just bought a zx1e as want to improve my hiking and vanlife videos. Do you think the Sony 16 to 50 would be a good all rounder lenses. I don't want to take a lot of kit and I am a solo shooter. Might get a black mist. Any advice appreciated. I find knowing what exposure to use if you want a nice dusk, low light shot, how to knwo if its under or over exposed and what fstop. Also better to shoot, then move the camera closer or use zoom?
Hey Sam, this might have been touched in the "Considerations" section, but is there ever a reason to *intentionally* over- or under-expose footage? (Confusingly) I hear some videographers say things like: "I always overexpose my Sony XYZ footage 1-2 stops and adjust in post"-why would someone do that? Is it something to do with the camera's dynamic range, in which case it varies camera-to-camera and I'll never fully understand? 😜
Hi. Yes. This video was about the fundamentals of how to “read” and alter your exposure which is why I didn’t go into the topic of overexposing log footage. Maybe I will in another video… But basically, log footage can retain a lot more information in the highlights because of the dynamic range. By overexposing you can bring the exposure down in post instead of trying to add more light which will add grain to your image. So I tent to overexpose my c log footage by 1 stop. I hope this helps. 🤩
That was awesome! Too bad I'm seeing it after shooting my short film. It was mostly in a dark environment. In hindsight I should have nailed exposure like you show here and color grade it to be darker in post. Well, I'll know for next time. Thanks!
Hey. So pleased you found this helpful 🤩👌🏻 yeh, I’m sure you’ll have plenty of shoots to put these tips into practise again. I always learn after each session and wish I’d have done better. Never ending process. Thank you for watching 🤩🙏🏻🎥
Ok… great video but I have some things I’m unsure about. I am a photographer and used to using light meter or creating my settings. What I’m confused about is video only. If shooting clog3 which I heard is a bit more exposed over clog can I use the lightener for this? Or is it better to use false color or zebras at 40? If shooting video outside is one or the other faster for getting exposure? It’s tough because you shoot photos and see results here in video or has no color grading so harder to manage? Is using the histogram preferable? Thanks for the video
Hi. Great question. Exposure is tricky because not only is it a science, but it’s also a creative choice. For example you don’t have to stick to 40IRE. You could go over or under depending on the “style” you’re going for. My advice is just a good starting point to get you going. Once you can do this, you’re free to go wherever you want, creatively. You could use a LUT on your camera or monitor to check if it’s looking good. But in the meantime here’s another video that may help ua-cam.com/video/bgQNReMqpOE/v-deo.html Thanks for the question
Thanks for this. I know how to get exposure out the gate. My issue is, say for example I am following someone from behind and the exposure is perfect. I then, l pan around them from the front. Even though the ISO is on auto the transition exposure is super slow. The expoure does not stay consistent or even. How do you compensate for that? I have a sony a7s 3. If you have any insight I'd appreciate it.
Hi. In an ideal world, for example, a film set, everything would be lit the way you wanted it in each scenario. But then if the conditions naturally change, then that’s what SHOULD be seen in camera. You should have dark and light areas. BUT if you did need the exposure to change, the Sony FX6 camera has auto VND and auto ISO which is an amazing feature. You could use a focus motor mounted to a VND filter or de-clicked aperture ring. 🤩🎥 all fun stuff 😂
For my Sony i Need to overexpose 2-3 stops because the a7c can not handle shadows very well in edditing its easyer to turn highlights down than to turn shadows up.
What was your favourite tip?

I’m so pleased this video helped 🤩🙏🏻🎥
Great tips - Straight to the point, no waffle, I love it! 👌
Thank you James 🤩🙏🏻 so pleased you loved this and I hope it helps. Thank you for watching 🙏🏻🤩🎥
Loved it. Favorite bit was explaining stops of light in relation to iso etc. thank you!!!
Ah thank you. So pleased this helped in some way 🙏🏻🤩🎥 thanks for watching and commenting
Been through around 6 of your videos now and I have learnt so much, thanks for taking the time to put these together!
Thanks Andrew 🙏🏻 yeah definitely. Thanks for your insights I’ll definitely be working on more of this in the future. Thanks for watching 🤩🎥
FINALLY, after DAYS of trying and searching on my own Thank you Sam for the great explanation! Super Helpful and finally have my lighting and camera settings dialed in!
Great stuff. I’ve also done another recent exposure tutorial which may help even further
Your good with me sam 😎 you have a new follower for sure here!!
Thank you, Donald! 🤩🙏🏻 great to have you here!! 🎥
I think you are the first person that does video that uses light meters, always considered one, but only could find photographers using them. Exposure has plagued me forever, not that I'm usually overexposed, but definitely underexposed and had to fix it in post.
Yoooo. THANK YOU. I don't know how I haven't learned this already or how I haven't seen it on other photography channels I follow
But for real, thank you.
My pleasure! 🤩🙏🏻🎥 glad you found what you were looking for!
That was very helpful. Thanks! Now, if only my video camera (yes, video cam, not dslr or mirrorless!) had a proper exposure meter on the display!
Much needed tutorial.....Please please please make more videos of this kind !!!!!!!!!!!Thanks a Lot !!!!!!!!!!!
Consider it as per your availability. A small request. Thanks
Sure thing 👌🏻
Funny, I never noticed until you said it, that doubling (or halving) the ISO equals raising (or lowering) 1 stop of exposure! Thank you for that aha moment!
Awesome explanation! 😊 Always found exposure so intimidating, but you demystified it. Thanks Sam 👍🏾
Ah I’m so pleased this helped. I know! It was the same for me which is why I made this so hopefully it helps others too. Thanks for watching 🤩🙏🏻🎥
Brilliant as always! Will definitely try these tips in my next video. Big thank you ☺️
Ah thanks so much Lara! 🤩🙏🏻 my pleasure. Hopefully this will help in your studio but your videos always look great anyway 👌🏻🎥 thanks for watching
Thanks so much this was extremely helpful. Most things that I watch Will give this information to piecesbut you gave it all. Awesome thank you
Hey. I’m so pleased this helped 🤩🙏🏻 thanks for watching. Stay tuned for plenty more 🎥
This's a phenomenal video Sam.Watched it some months ago but I always had a nagging question:HOW DO YOU SET THE CORRECT EXPOSURE TO THAT "MIDDLE POINT"😉😉😉😉 AFTER PUTTING AN ND FILTER ON??????????????
Great video. I have just bought the LUMIX S5 and I am new to this whole vlogging/video world. This has massively helped me get my head around exposure. I had been struggling a little with the set up of the S5 so your videos are helping speed up the learning process.
Hey. So pleased this helped. New cameras can be difficult to get your head around at first. Glad I could help. Thank you for watching 🤩🙏🏻🎥

@@SamHolland I am struggling to find how to display the exposure meter in my cameras display along the bottom. Where do I turn it on and allow it to be displayed on screen. Massive thanks if you respond as I am pulling hair out and it will help me get my head around the whole exposure thing.

Great, really well explained both verbally and visually. Glad I found this vid, will check out more. Thanks
Your channel is way underrated! Love the content!
Thank you! 🤩🤩🙏🏻 I’m pleased you enjoy the videos and hope they continue to provide you value or even just a laugh 🙏🏻🤩🎥
Teach me these colors, man. It's amazing!
😂 thanks! 🙏🏻🎥
Good information !!! Clear cut on the information, well done. I do have a question on Sharpness of the footage. Can you make a video on determining the Sharpness of the footage, especially when the footage needs to be projected on Cinema theater
Absolutely lifesaving video! Thank you so much, Sam!
this was so incredibly helpful. thank you!
Great explanation, thanks for posting 👍
thanks for the info.. you did a great tutorial... wish you would do more tutorials and explain something like D Lighting as well if there is any such thing for video... I only use it for photography with D Lighting....tks...
Hey. Thank you. Glad this helped. I am actually working on a lighting series coming very soon 🤩👌🏻🎥 stay tuned.

Hey that’s good. I’m so pleased you enjoyed this one and hope it helped. Ah yeh it’s gonna be a good one for filming outside that’s for sure 🤩
Thanks for watching 🙏🏻🎥
Great ficus so thank you!! This really helped me to understand exposure!!
Good on Yu Sam… you da Man mate 👍🏻 I appreciate your tips n stuff. Keep up the great job 👏🏻
Thank you. I’m pleased it helped 🤩🎥🙏🏻
One of the best easy to understand explanation of how to alter exposure without getting tempted to expose anything .... what about Zebras ? And how did you record the camera setting etc ? Awesome video Blue!
Thanks man. Did you want me to cover zebras and more??
Thanks for watching brother as always 🙏🏻🤩🎥
Ooooh do you mean how did I get the camera settings onto my screen?... I used the ninja v and set it so that the HDMI output showed my camera screen 👌🏻
Zebras are super handy. I love using zebras as a monitoring tool when there’s a lot of things to watch out for in the frame
@@SamHolland yeah to cover Zedbras
@@SamHolland ahh like you showed me before..... haha I forgot how to do that 😅
👌🏻🙏🏻
Mint video. Really clear!!
If I'm not mistaken, the light meter showed 2.8 plus 9/10ths of a stop, which translates to approximately f=4.0
I needed THIS Video!
I hope it helped 🤩🙏🏻🎥
Great tips Sam!!! I never tried the light meter, and it sounds really handy! Looking forward for a dedicated video about it🙏📹😎
Great explanation! 😎
Your videos are awesome 🤩
Thank you for sharing.
Any recommendations for a budget monitor ?
Honestly, they all do pretty much the same thing… however, I’ve had a few budget ones overheat and also cut out and just stop working completely so my advice would be to save up a little extra and go for the shinobi - ua-cam.com/video/rNG4Hk2u08A/v-deo.html
Hi there, thank you for the video. I was curious how you create the hazey look in your videos. It looks so cool.
🤩 thanks for watching 🙏🏻🎥
For the talking head clips?? I use one of these ua-cam.com/video/rccZ-qwJ01s/v-deo.html
But they’ve since brought out a 1/8 version which I prefer and use now

Well done man! An absolute masterclass on exposure. Haven’t seen such a comprehensive, well thought out breakdown on this subject on here in a while. Def sending this video to all my friends just getting into film & photography.
Btw, did you change shirts in the middle of filming? 😜
Thanks so much man 🤩🙏🏻 so pleased you enjoyed this one and hopefully it helps your buddies! 👌🏻
Haha! Well I filmed it once but I wanted the examples to be easier to understand and also switch up the angles a bit to keep you interested... and to see who noticed 😂

I hope you're able to sort that light out, look like a loose connection or something?

Earned a sub from me bro! This video was beautifully done and explained! Thank you!
Thank you! Great to have you here 🤩 I also have some other exposure videos if you need some more explanations 🙏🏻🎥
You nailed it, Thx!!!
That’s amazing. Thank you. I hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏🏻🤩🎥
You mentioned you would explain how to control the exposure also by changing the shutter… do you have any tips for that? Thanks
Hi. You could change the shutter speed but it will alter the motion blur so you would usually stick to the 180 rule which is double the frame rate. But there are no rules 😛 do what you want to make it look how you want. Just be mindful 🙏🏻
Wow. That is all I can say. Thanks.
awesome info but if you shoot in log footage you have to over or under expose ie slog is normally 2 stops over
Hello Sam excellent video. What range you recommend for LUMIX S5 ? Any particular brand or model you recommend? Appreciate your help.
Wish you were my school teacher... I would be michael Bay by now. Appreciated!
😂 Thanks Carter… or shall I call you, Michael 😂🙏🏻🎥

Whatever Mist Filter you've put on, i feel like it's a little bit too much. Anyways, thank you for the video. Really appreciated. 🖤
Amazing video... everything I've been learning has been the 1/180 rule for shutter for Pro video... am I missing something - 1/50? Should we be experimenting with shutter like this or only 180? Cheers, any help appreciated :))
Great Info!
Thank you 🙏🏻 I hope it helps 🎥
Brilliant bud.
Thank you 🙏🏻
Hey Sam awesome video tha k you..
Maybe I will in another video…
But basically, log footage can retain a lot more information in the highlights because of the dynamic range. By overexposing you can bring the exposure down in post instead of trying to add more light which will add grain to your image. So I tent to overexpose my c log footage by 1 stop.
I hope this helps. 🤩
@@SamHolland That's super helpful, thanks!
My pleasure bro! 🙏🏻🎥🤩

Love the tips bro! When can I get a guitar lesson!? lol
Thank you. I hope the tips help 😂 haha I think I’ll probably need some more lessons before I teach again! 😂🙏🏻
@@SamHolland Never ending but that's the fun of it :) Always something new to learn.
See you on the next one 😎
Cheers. See you then 🤩🙏🏻🎥
Ok… great video but I have some things I’m unsure about.
But in the meantime here’s another video that may help ua-cam.com/video/bgQNReMqpOE/v-deo.html
Thanks for the question
Your a great person 👌✌️👍🏻
🤩 thank YOU. You’re a great person.
And thank you for watching! 🙏🏻🎥 I hope this helps.
AWESOME VID THANKS ;)
Thank YOU
Great video
Thank you
are you using spot meter for the skin exposure?
Hi. Yeah check this out which explains everything you need ua-cam.com/video/bgQNReMqpOE/v-deo.html
