Ah, the 90's, what a great time. Mattel were still producing quality Barbies with articulation and material clothing. Also the doll's had lovely hair length too
They always bought me "boy" toys when I was a kid but I never really liked them deep down. So now that I am an adult and have money, I can buy all the Barbies I want 🥰
I was 8 or 9 when the Workin' Out dolls were on shelves at Toys R Us. I vividly remember going to buy Workin' Out Teresa - she was the first non-Barbie doll I'd ever bought - and seeing a boy from school and being so embarrassed... how crazy! She was the last doll I bought as a child. Now here I am in my 30s, appreciating and collecting dolls again 😅 Loved seeing the 90s Barbies - the colours and looks are just so nostalgic! 😍
I think these came out when I was in college and too broke to buy them. The neon colors remind me more of the late 80s and very early 90s. I love them all. ❤
thank you for the content!! ugh.....I swear 90s just did it better. look at their packaging, the design and themes of the dolls themselves. this was such a good one thank you!!
I just love your videos. You are just yourself, and that makes everything work just perfect! Another fabulous review about the nineties, which was a wonderful period for Barbie...
I have taken out a lot of my collector 90s Barbie out of their box. Just recently took the 40th Anniversary one out. I just got the 65th Anniversary Brooklyn for free, so it was the right occasion. Also the boxes are huge.
Adding Hot Skating to my wish list! The white blonde hair and the crazy print are sooo 90s lol of course none of them are as good as All Stars Barbie working out with gigantic crimped hair lol
There was no better feeling than opening a Barbie box 😊 Thank you for this! P.S. I appreciate that you included commercials too. Sun Jewel Barbie was my favorite 🥰
These are 3 dolls I don't have , the 90s is an area I don't have that much of in my collection , I was already collecting vintage with a furry during that decade . I liked the bicycle Barbie the best ... but maybe that's because I bike a lot ...ha ha ... I also love her shade of her platinum hair ! & the articulation seems like it's really good ! the fact that she comes with a bike a major bonus. I could see myself redressing her .The Cassette Tape Yes to that ! Thanks again for a great video ! Cheers Matt Sky
Glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the articulation on them is great. They can pretty much move any way you want them. And my boyfriend got me that Walkman! Love it ❤️❤️
In the 90's I was dressing like that for Jazzercise classes, lol. I'm glad you don't worry about trolls. You're awesome, putting positivity and beauty out in the world while they're just gross.
For me 90s and 80s were the pinnacle. Though I do like some of the more classic ones (like the original TNT). I must have been about 5 when I got my first one in 1993, it was just a basic 'European style' series Barbie with a blue dress. But I do remember the ads for sporty ones. And also had the Olympic gymnast one from either 95 or 96.
Team Working Out Barbie all the way! Although, that said, I love all 3 and am obsessed in their neon pink glory. Am only human after all. Another fab video and keep ignoring the haters ❤
I had workin out Teresa for sure bc the orange was less feminine 😂😂 and a bike riding Barbie. I only liked the more articulated dolls because they were so fun to play with action figures.
I think it would also be lovely if you will add Hot Skatin’ Midge in the group , she’ll add a nice color to the collection with its teal blue hues… oh..I just found out that there’s also a Workin’ Out Teresa and Christie in fun orange and yellow leotards! 😘 greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭
I adore your passion for all things Barbie. I really don't connect to 90's Barbie in any way. She was a product of Anime to me. I do like your passion for her.
I have the Workin Out Teresa! It was one of my favourite dolls as a child. She has her original outfit and shoes but the suction cups fell off. I have her headphones but none of the other accessories. I probably got the doll when she was first released and I'm 34 now.
I have a very inspiring friend that any time some ass yells the F word at him his response is usually something along the lines of “😁THANK YOU!” Or my favorite is “oh I’m sorry I don’t have any cash 😬” it kills me every time🤣😂🤣 to see the look of utter confusion on the (usually a straight) dude’s face is always just soooooo satisfying! Also man you seem like a person that words really can’t hurt ❣️👏👏👏 that’s also quite inspiring 💖
Haha love the ‘don’t have any cash’ line. Yeah I’m really more surprised that people think the slur will somehow hit me like a gut punch, when in reality I’m just rolling my eyes and wondering how a person in 2024 can be so dumb. lol❤️❤️
@@Thedollswitness as time moves forward it’s becoming far more obvious that it’s usually someone who’s bothered by another’s comfort in who they are. “Faggot!” Is usually yelled by someone who’s got A LOT of internalized homophobia and just can not bring themselves to admit it and it makes them severely uncomfortable in their own skin. It’s has largely become a cry for help to me now. Im not stopping to “help” them but I do not hear “bully” in it anymore I hear “help I’m lost and my world is awful and I don’t know how to figure me out!” Calling another human being any slur like that says waaaaaaaay more about the person using it then the one it’s being used on
I have the African American version of bicycling Barbie and she is one of my all time favorite dolls of the 90’s I recently purchased the original 10 speeder bike for $10
Glad to hear she didn’t mind the Barbies! And yeah, they used to be a lot more expensive. I’m sure they were totally out of budget for a ton of parents in the past. ❤️
I wonder if you could make a video about collecting and how your boyfriend reacted to it when you got to know each other? I think some people don't collect Barbies because they feel it will freak their potential partners out.
Cool idea! I mean my boyfriend today is the most supportive person ever, but the guy I was seeing when I first started collecting absolutely hated the Barbies. I’ve been thinking about making a video about how I got into collecting and I know that sort of thing can be a struggle for some people. ❤️❤️
@@Thedollswitness Yes, please, even just about getting into collecting. I'm female and still feel torn about my small collection. Wish it was more normalized (but I think its getting better!)
It's interesting how era oriented Barbie is, the 90s were all about staying in shape, and present time we have curvy body barbie in the era of non body shaming
Why??? Are people on line giving you a hard time??? Great video!!! I like all of those dolls! They can kiss your a$$ !! I enjoy your videos a lot! I want to see you dance more to that Barbie tape, lol.
ohhhhh hi I just bought the most expensive soda but it's a Barbie Collab in my fave flavor I am doing a taste test on my channel soon I luv you..... homophobes are lame and so freakin un cool hugs friend
Cool! I always go for Barbie collab stuff, even those new uno cards on Mattel creations. lol I’ll check it out! And you’re right, homophobes are sad and dumb. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Idk why parents won’t let their sons have dolls….i think if your son wants a doll let him have one cause for all you know maybe playing with a Barbie if he wants one will teach him to respect women 🤷♀️
The pink cassette player.... yes! You rock! Real men aren't afraid of pink!
Thank you! Haha you’re right about that!❤️
So true! I love to see men in pink shirts.
I love hearing you talk about how you weren't able to get dolls as a kid, something very relatable to so many of us 90s kids! ❤
Thanks, right? Toy marketing was so completely gendered back then. The pink aisle was off limits to so many boys ❤️
Ah, the 90's, what a great time. Mattel were still producing quality Barbies with articulation and material clothing. Also the doll's had lovely hair length too
Agreed! Really seemed like the era when Barbie started creating her own aesthetic rather than following fashion trends too. Love them ❤️
They always bought me "boy" toys when I was a kid but I never really liked them deep down. So now that I am an adult and have money, I can buy all the Barbies I want 🥰
Woo! As you should! ❤️❤️
I know the feeling 🤗💜🥹😍 I always wanted Teresa and Barbie dolls beach ones a lot aswell 💜❌

Nice! Love the Theresa one. That pink aisle was a treacherous place for young boys back then! lol Glad you’re collecting again as an adult ❤️
I think these came out when I was in college and too broke to buy them. The neon colors remind me more of the late 80s and very early 90s. I love them all. ❤
I love opening my Barbies

Agreed! Thank you! Happy you enjoyed it!❤️❤️
I've been eyeing these Barbies on ebay for a while now. When you put the cassette in the pink cassette player and hit play, I lost my mind!! 🤩🤩🤩
Haha right? They definitely move in more ways than any Barbie I can think of and they’re sooo cute . ❤️
The Barbie with the cassette... simply outstanding... this was so much fun nyo!
Glad you enjoyed it! She’s the best for sure ❤️❤️
Love the pink
I just love your videos. You are just yourself, and that makes everything work just perfect! Another fabulous review about the nineties, which was a wonderful period for Barbie...
My favorite is the skating one! And totally the inspiration for the movie costume...
Totally. Definitely a signature look for Barbie in the 90s 🙌🏻🔥❤️
Love 90’s barbies! I have a Bubble Fairy Barbie from 98, a Kool Aid Wacky Warehouse from 94 and a Florida Teresa from 98. Love them all!!
Nice! You never hear anyone talking about the Kool Aid ones! So cute ❤️❤️
Omg these were literally some of my favorites Barbies as a kid 😍💖🥳👱🏻♀️ iconic
I had both as a kid, but Rollerblading Barbie from 1991 was my favorite doll!
Flicker n flash! Dangerous gal! lol love her❤️

😂 definitely less feminine. Yeah I love how these can do the splits and stuff. More articulated than a lot of big action figures. ❤️

Cute vid! I could’ve used some elbow & knee pads in the 70s! Yikes the mangled knees & elbows was not fun!
