I've been watching these court channels for several weeks (yours is the best) and most witnesses and defendants cannot string clear concise sentences together. I can't fathom how anything gets resolved in the courts due to the consistent lack of communication skills, not to mention the absence of logic / critical thinking.

"Why did you wait three years after any contact with the party to file a restraining order?"
"Because you guys are suing me and evicting me and slandering me."
That was probably the worst way you could have possibly answered that question. You are admitting that the restraining order is only to be retaliatory...

I am sure the landlord is a certified crude obnoxious creep, but the PPO (3 yrs after the fact) is clearly in retaliation for the creep landlord's recent unlawful detainer action because they aren't paying rent and can't minipulate the landlord to make repairs and improvements they want.

Were these people prepped? Her lawyer sucks. No specific accounts of any conversations. No witnesses. No phone logs. No specific documentation of any of the threats. WHAT ABOUT A WRITTEN LEASE? Why is this such a fever dream? No objection to his diagnosis by HIS OWN witness and not a doctor or an affidavit? No questions about the text messages? No dates. I can't with this woman and this lawyer.

It's weird. I applied for a restraining order once, and it went something like this: "On date, name punched me in the stomach and slammed me headfirst into a wall multiple times. Here is the police report, the hospital report, and photos. He's been prosecuted and I don't want him calling me anymore." Done, and done. None of this vague BS,

The jail i was in wouldnt help you out if you had a seizure or anything else. My BP dropped to 52/35 (they checked it) and they sat me in the library until it was back to normal. Mr. Hopkins may have been lying but the jail is NOT who needs to make that determination. His life could be at risk and denying him a diagnosis is BS

Or it's possible he was checked by medical staff, and they cleared him because he wasn't having seizures.
Also when the judge came back from making that phone call, he blurted out it happened the last time he was inside.

My husband gave a deposition after being diagnosed with dementia. I would have loved to have been a fly n the wall as they tried to understand his muddled answers. Fortunately our sainted son-in-law was present as his lawyer so they couldn’t badger him. He knew absolutely nothing about the case anyway.
