The party can't seem to figure out why they are ignoring the barbarian (with jokes about him no having enough brains for them to be interested etc) several members are dropping to 0 int and being stunned and the barb is able to save them all before they become puppets. Later on they are going over magic items... and the barbarian shouts Holy **** is this ring the reason those brains weren't able to see me? (It's not in he monster description, but I figure mind blank is very close to the rings abilities) I just chuckled... and the ring became one of his most prized possessions.

I can't stop thinking about this question, so here's my breakdown based on the moments I found through transcripts + CritRoleStats. To the best of my knowledge, these are all the instances but I'm welcome to be corrected: EP121 - absorbed 5 total damage from the Fire Elemental towards Fjord EP139 - absorbed 16 total damage from Eye of Ira to Jester EP140 - absorbed 16 total damage from Eye of Ira to Jester (Laura initially forgot about the resistance but it was figured out later on) = 37 total damage absorbed by the ring. So, the 4,500gp paid by Fjord, divided by the 37 hitpoints 'saved' by the ring, is 122 (rounded up). To answer your question - that's a hp/gold ratio of 122gp per 1hp.

No, they homebrewed it so she has resistance to cold, not fire. I believe her mother has normal fire resistance and red skin, but because of her father (don't worry, no spoilers), she has cold resistance and blue skin.
