His long balls to rashford were an important source of goals in ole ball
thank god we are still talking football
when this season ends Ole will be considered one of the best Man U managers in the last 10 years
@@thesmrsnn 😂😂
Ole ball just might be the biggest joke in the history of football. Never forget " OLE'S AT THE WHEEL " 😂😂😂
@@cezarmagicchess3665 still got us second place
Don’t know why most managers he had didn’t think to use his best qualities. I believe Pep would love to have him as a player. Lindelof’s passing and vision is so underrated.
Yes, his precise, accurate and often inventional passes are unique for deffnders in Premier League.
Remember he does not have a british passport !....he played under jose amd that was his best time!
The media would still rip him apart because thier country men harry McGuire is no good and the fans who are real are calling it out.
Well he doesn't start over lisandro or varane.
@@craigmillington1258 so true Southgate would rather call players who plays on the bench every week and leave out starting players.....I like Sterling because am Jamaican and he has Jamaican background but there's no way on earth he should get call over Marcus Rushford not the way he's playing now
I feel like alotta people dont realize how good he is because hes had to be next to maguire for the past few years
He isn't good enough for man u.
He is tho
@@paulkelly1169 keep complaining
@@paulkelly1169 he is!
@@casterwill01 when did I complain?
The lack of modern coaches and the right partner has made us disrespect this lad. He is massively important for us.
Well when you see that and you have not a lot of midfielders, you play the guy in midfield..
I humbly take back my previous criticism of Lindelof. He won my utmost respect after ruthlessly executing that penalty kick . The way he ran off laughing and pointing indicates that he knows he has the trust of his teammates. We wish him all the best in this new resurgence and next chapter of his career.
Yeah definitely loved that pen celebration 🎉
Plastic fan
@@laj1699 call him plastic fan but at least he has accepted he was wrong about the player. Some are still arguing that Lindell if not the level for United.
As a United fan, I am apologizing for looking down on Lindelof, his a gem to keep
Edit: thanks for the 1k likes
Magiure make him look bad most of the time..
He’s physically shy but a good defender that simply can’t cover for Maguire 24/7 but nobody can
If only he was stronger.
Lol u clown 🤡
He makes a great pair with Luke Shaw. One shy, less physical, more technical defender, and the other a more outgoing and physical defender.
Edit: both these guys have great vision too
Im so happy to see Lindelof getting recognition lately, ive been saying hes underrated for years now, he should of won our player of the year in 18/19. Really happy for him.
I get what you're saying but Shaw played really really good that season.
But I wouldn't have minded if Lindelof got the award for 18/19 and then Shaw for 20/21.
Lindelof and Shaw would've had at least 10-20 assists per season had it not been for some poor finishing.
Pogba should have won in 18/19, Lindelof and Shaw were overrated cause everyone was bad, Pogba was hated but he really carried our midfield and attack for the whole season
Lindelof is good but Maguire is always rubbishing his name due to their partnership
True!!
I've been screaming this for 3 year's
best statement
👍
It's like always in rainy days on kerb side Lindelof sprayed with dirty water by truck of Maquire 😢
Theres a reason he's been a constant in the squad since Mourinho.....He's improved on his weaknesses physically, and I think he's now a tremendous defender. Next season I think Utd will be set with him, Licha, Varane, Shaw, and maybe signing one more centre half..... I
if Shaw becomes one of the CB and he hope to, I think Talles or Williams should be stay in MU.
But I think Shaw in LB is more powerful then in CB
@@rhine123456 facts, he’s a solid CB but we need him at LB
@@rhine123456 I think that Shaw can become a really good CB when he cannot run up and down the pitch as a LB anymore. But for now, he offers a lot to the team attacking wise when playing. So I think that we should keep him as LB for now. But yes, he is both very good in LB and CB
MAGUIRE
@@shitvideoquality4856 Shaw is good as an emergency CB but i trust him more as a fullback, we needed a left footed CB this summer to cover licha cause lindelof alone is not enough
Cant even think of letting this guy go. He should be the Caseimero backup if main CBs are available!Guy can defend with time on his hands and pings passes with left and right
Agreed
He's improved a lot but it's been hidden due to Maguire's British passport
Absolutely spot on
Sound abit racist.
Hahahaa for real 😂😂 best comment here
@@MargotDobbie if you talking about the english press then yes
Stop that 😂😂😂😂
He was actually always good. he plays great for Sweden and whenever has been given a chance to pair with a competent CB , has done well.
Shame Maguire was his pairing
Lindelof was pretty good when paired with either varane or martinez, but his quality drops off massively with maguire as his partner
Lindelof is a nice and gentle person,, holding a low but reliable profile and isunusual faithful to his club. Since he as a 17-y.o. left his Swedish youth club BP, he has played for only two clubs - Benfica 2013-17, thrn Manchester United from 2017. Normally playing right midfielder he came 2015 in as a reserve for the injuried right back in the Swedish Ubnder-21 team, which in fact won the UEFA European title for that age. The final got to penalty shoot--out, and Lindelof scrored his one. After that he has always played right back or right inner.back. Only recently has he moved to left inner back in Man.U to help Maguire to a better position for him?
He played for västerås, my home town 🤩
Shockingly humble. But I feel like he is with the right manager now. EtH is good at recognizing talent.
With his technique, composure and Good passing ability. ETH should make him a CDM, the perfect back up for Casemiro.
he can play the role of john stones similar to pep philosophy
Lindelöf played mostly CDM & RB for Benfica's B team, before moving into CB when joining the first team in 2016.

Benfica loves to switch young player's position. Just like they did with Matic, but no manager would switch back to their original youth role.
Imagine any manager who switch Casemiro to be a striker again 😅
Honestly if utd really want timber or Kim min jae ..I’d be using lindelof as backup for casimero cdm all day he’s patient positioning decent and passing is top
Ah, no wonder I always thought he was a CDM.
@@parashit2181 or mctominay as a striker for that matter, hes uniquely good at finishing as a cdm

He should play in the John Stones role
he does , in last 4 games
and todays match against villa is the perfect example
What is the John Stones role?
@@the__answerr pep has recently used stones in midfield next to rodri in possession, and when city defends he moves back in defence to make a back 4.
@@the__answerr He uses 4 central defenders in defense instead of 2 or 3 cd's and 2 wingbacks, with 1 central defender who are allowed to roam into the midfield to help out with offense. Playing with a backline of four central defenders with one allowed to roam in possession gives Man City more options in both attack and defense, making them more unpredictable and difficult to play against.
It's because central defenders usually are better and tougher defenders than wingbacks, and also because wingbacks can be caught operating too high up the field and give away dangerous counter attacking opportunities. It's enough to have two attacking wingers to cover the wide areas, when you have 4 cd's.
He's improved loads on his heading, I see Erik using him alot more npw6, I see Maguire going and keeping lindelof
He is a baller!
So Underrated. In Barcelona, he will be a peak Pique
Lindelof plays full back sometimes and that’s how good he is. English media tried hard to blame everyone except Maguire in any Maguire defensive partnership
Victor Lindelöf is so underrated.
i love this player a lot. play with his heart for united. just hoping he could work on his strength if united keep playing him as a cb. he would be great deep lying playmaker like Michael Carrick ❤
If he was at City instead of us, he would be the starting CB for Pep. He is that good. A very underrated baller.
No we won't even take him on a free transfer. And worshipping a player won't win you the premier league. Take notes United fanboy!
I like the lad and fair play to him for keeping the head together at United when everyone was critical of Uniteds defence, playing with people you can't trust to do a job and the pressure was on every time he played,he's a propper pro,a international player and has balls, well done lad! trust him at united when he plays and definitely now with the addition of a few quality defenders added to the squad..big balls he has!
So happy he's finally getting the credit he deserves. He's always been this good, he's just had Maguire next to him dragging him down and making him look worse
Him and either Varane or Lisandro will be a match made in heaven
They will be targeted areally
Lisandro and Lindelof, the ball playing pair
Any defenders can pass long balls, but to do it like Lindelof is rare. The weight of the pass and the way the pace of the ball slowly deteriorates over the duration of the pass is just mind-blowing. For comparison, please take a look at Maguire's long passes. Often too much pace on it and makes it difficult for teammates to control.
That's because Lindelof is a wing back who was moved to defender
@@victorkreig6089 didn’t he start his career as a midfielder?
@@Twofacex2 yeah
I agree. Maguire's passes are also slow and predictable. It's one look for players like Lindelof and Martinez and they ping the damn pass.
WOW I see a little bit of scholesy in that pass. What a baller!
Lindelof has always been class, its crazy it took people so long to notice.
... and a community hero, a hockey player as well. Glory Mam United!
he’s played DM and RB most of his career at other clubs so his technique naturally had to be top tier
I watched him in the pre-season tour games in Australia and this is exactly what I thought. His passing, long balls etc are finesse
his intelligence is also so underrated, he doesnt need blistering pace to keep a high line because he always steps up at the right time and aggressively to win the ball before getting bypassed. no need to talk about his technique, has been elite and always stood out even under Ole, the amount of assists he would get with diagonals to rashford
He actually does everything that they say Maguire is good at, but is much more calm and makes less mistakes
Yet the English Media prefers talking about Maguire than linderof
And was 50€ mil cheaper 😃
I have thought he was gem going forward and often thought he could play as a defensive midfielder - this video just proves the point.
hes a very natural technical ball playing defender when he plays well, perfect for possesion based teams, can even play RB
His passing and vision is on a nother level
Seriously underrated player. He stept up to d max.
When I played career mode in FIFA 16, Smalling, Jones, Blind and Lindelof (Yes I would buy him always) were my CBs of choice.
This guy is so underrated, he's just phenomenal with his contributions, he's real class, respect bro 💪🏽
he'd be an absolutely class cdm
solskjaer kew his potential and used it well his long balls and the he changed the ball from defense to offense was really something i hope we use him more often next seaon
He is good with both feet… Quite rare for CBs 👌🏾
Damn those passes where insane!
And Then theres Maguire who inverted a skills.."If U Cannot Score into Opposite Goal Just Score into Your Own Goal"
👍👍👍😂😂😂 hilarious+pretty intelligent
Me personally i reckon lindelof as a backup cdm next season or even for some parts of this season could work well with his patience and occasional runs as well as is amazing over the top and long balls
lindelof has always been a really great defender and even better at distribution- he struggled with heading the ball when he first came to united and as a result, all of our fans wrote him off. but he's an excellent defender, distributor and header of the ball, now. easily been our best center back the last 3-4 years.
He is really good.
Only those United fans who watch our games and not looking solely at stats know how good Lindelof has always been at pinging the ball, similar to Blind they are not the strongest and most physical but read the game well and can pass so well
Lindelof is a Paul Scholes of the defenders in term of his pin-point long passes.
He's an excellent penalty taker and has incredibly good on the pitch intelligence especially when defending and calculating the oppositions next move. I have always ranked him as one of Man Utds better and much more unique players. It's a shame it has taken until ETH to utilize his full potential at our club. He deserves a contract extension when his expires that's for sure. Quality player who many doubted too soon.
Lindelöf has really good ball control it explains it all in this video
He is a great baller
It’s good that he got game time towards the end of the season! He’s like a Berbatov of the defense!
One of de Best Ball playing Defenders in de World
I think its so impressive how he pings perfect balls with his weak foot.
A proper ball playing defender
Him, Daley Blind & Herrera were some of my favourite signings
He is a top class midfielder
Pep would've made him a CM by now.
Maguire is a career destroyer
tnx for this good video, before this i didnt realise how underrated he is.
Yeah a lot of people forget he's actually quite good, because his form was hurt badly being shackled to Maguire for the last few seasons. Plus add to that he had a bad back injury which had him out a long spell, and it takes time to get one's game back to where it was after that kind of injury. Add further to that, the fact that most of the squad came out after Ole's sacking as feeling they weren't being improved under Ole's training system. Those 3 things add up to a hell of a hurdle when it comes to improving or even maintaining one's form. Right now, under EtH and no longer stuck with maguire, he's coming back into the form that got him signed at United in the 1st place. I wouldn't start him over a healthy Varane or Martinez right now, but he's a damn valuable option to replace either when they need resting or have a knock. I think he's highly underrated by many United fans.
we have to understand that lindelof in sweden is very good because he can trust his teammate. when he plays with mcfridge, he cant trust him and is afraid to play more openly incase he gets exposed behind. I've been watching a lot of sweden games because since the start, i started liking lindelof and was pretty sure his problem is playing with mcfridge.
with his vision surely he should be given a chance at CDM
Trent vision and passing accuracy is on another level. I believe if Lindeloff had a good manager that fully utilized his abilities to reach his full potential. We might have our own Trent at Man united.
Bet SAF wuda give him a run in CM, absolute baller
imagine if could be part of the 2 holding mids with Casimiro would be cool to see if it works
I think he can potentially play in the hybrid role, similar to John Stones at Man City. Casemiro could cover defensively, which would make Lindelofs game stand out even more. He would be a major upgrade over Fred/McTominay.
I’ve never doubt his quality, it’s just he’s been partnered with a home appliance.
You would let Harry Maguire into your home?
The problem was Maguire and we're blaming Ronaldo and lindelof for it...cuz the moment varane and martinez came into play.. things were better from previous....
Ronaldo?😂
Almost plays like Kroos there as incomparable as they are
Passing to the bruno was much beautiful than any pass
Wow thanks for sharing he really has a great touch and amazing vision
Would be a World Class if Pep managed him
Not necessarily. He would be world-class without Pep and may have suffered even under him. Dont forget how laporte is suffering now.
It's quite clear that Maguire makes players around him look bad! Lindelof is a good ball playing defender. I learnt that he usually plays as a defensive midfielder at Benfica before being converted to a central defender.
A decade ago. Sampdoria coach who passed away name sinisa mihaljhovic had quality like deeplaying playmaker/box to box as defender
BTW this is more what is meant by "ball-playing CB" than what has been said of Maguire previously. actual line braking passes with many leading to chances or assists. line breaking runs while evading pressure and making space for others and being able to pass and move through a press. it's not just long diagonal switches of play under minimal pressure. If United want to get back to the elite level, this is a good level of player to have as a squad/rotation option.
Then came Maguire 😢😢😢
He should be RB or midfield on the right side
No lol
Victor Lindelof is a baller one of my favorite in this Manchester united team.
I saw him play as an RB and he was class, maybe playing back 3 can help him press higher
Sebenarnya saya suka dengan pemain ini...dia cukup bagus dalam bertahan dan dia juga punya umpan jauh yg bagus. .
Maguire destroy every team mates near him except for opponents.
Proper baller. Only problem with him at CB is that he needs to put in stronger challenges sometimes but he's an excellent baller.
I always love our iceman. Defensively he is not an elite defender, his long passes what makes him unique. Thus, he need defensively good players around him to cover, gives him time and space to ping the ball to attack. But, our attackers also need to improve on how to receive long balls. Most of the time we loose the balls and waste the chances.
Lindelof + Lizandro = 💀
Look like he would be more at home as a CDM, great vision, and calm on the ball
