  • During a hearing ahead of Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter trial, the actor’s defense attorney and a forensics examiner argued over his testimony in Hannah Gutierrez-Read’s trial and his knowledge about guns. After several tense exchanges, the defense and state attorneys snapped at each other, forcing the judge to get involved. “Stop, stop, stop, both of you!” the judge demanded.

      You probably want him to work a prosecution expert if you are on a receiving end of a charge.
      He is doing this in a pre-trial hearing, imagine what he would do in the actual trial.

      The witness has amnesia any time he’s called out. He refuses to answer questions. And he communicated with the prosecution over the weekend while he was still sworn in - which is a huge violation by him AND the prosecution.
      If the guy’s memory is so bad maybe he shouldn’t be hired as an expert.

    • @darwinawardcommittee
      @darwinawardcommittee 5 днів тому

      Spiro didn’t come to the hearing with amnesia. Spiro didn’t get caught admitting he violated the law by communicating over the weekend while still sworn in as a witness. Spiro didn’t lie to defense witnesses about the 2nd and third report contradicting what he testified to.
      That was all done by the prosecution and their “witness”
      Sneaky? 🤡

      He is correct though the firearms history as preserved in the wear marks should have been documented before the gun was destroyed, once that history is lost it is not retrievable.

    Baldwin is clearly responsible for this tragedy and in my opinion should be found guilty and go to jail. But honestly this witness is terrible and the prosecution has made a mistake hiring him.

      As much I don't like Baldwin if this was true than the actor who shot "accidentally" Brandon Lee would be liable criminally as well and no one even thought about trying him or charging him. Why??? Because it is reasonable to assume that the actor has no gun knowledge or experience as it is not their job and relying on experts and master arms experts to prepare, deal with, and hand them safe and cold weapons. Their liability is not the same as an average person handling their own personal weapon which is where people conflate this issue. When on a set, it is the arms experts job ans solely their responsibility as they have to assume the actor has 0 weapon or gun knowledge and would not know to check the weapon themselves. They are not the experts.

      why the live round was there is NOT the issue, pointing a weapon at another person and pulling the trigger is. Baldwin had no reason to do either. He was probably playing around with the gun and being reckless then killed someone. That is a crime in every sense that is not self defense, he has no defense for what he did.
