You remind me of my dad. He left me a bunch of Toyotas and spare parts to clean out of a garage space. Nearly 40 years accumulating stuff in his apt rental too. When my father died, the landlord screamed at me to clear it out, when I arrived for the funeral. Took me two weeks. All those years the landlord never asked my father to clean it out.

When my grandparents moved on I purchased their house from the family. Everyone took what they wanted and left me to deal with the rest. Took me a solid couple weeks and trip after trip to the dump. Now, if i haven't touched something for over a year its time to get rid of it.

@TheKizilg1 it can happen especially if your neighbors are calling in complaining about it being unsafe or a fire hazard. They can also make you clean your house like this if they get the same reports, Or they will start to fine you.
If your property is starting to become an eyesore, then other's property values start to go down, which "can be" an issue the police get involved in...

Not so. Here in the UK, most people nowadays don't put their car in their garage - mostly because they are too big, but also because they store lots of junk and put their big freezer in the garage.

Yep, garages are too small for most vehicles especially if you need to keep anything else at all in the garage.
Bought our first Yukon in 2000. My wife pulled it in the garage. I backed it out and ripped the garage door out of the frame (yes I stopped as soon as I heard it). My pickup truck was too long for the other door to close.
Here in Florida we don't have basements. The Garage is essentially our basement.

That is why I have 11 hammers from Harbor Freight. The odds are now in my favor of finding one when I need it.
@@mickm5097 in my case it is either drift punches, chisels or center punches! I can never find the one I need! Oh yes....and let's not forget 10 and 13 mm wrenches. I swear, about 95 percent of the hardware on my vehicles is either 10 or 13 mm.
