My third grade teacher, Miss Bove, had a black '58 T-Bird. I was taller than she was in third grade. The kids gave her a lot of extra respect, I think, because she drove that cool car. In spite of being tiny, she had no difficulty keeping order in her classroom. Her family owned a popular downtown Italian restaurant downtown, where she would help out by tending bar on weekends.. It was always a treat to go there for a meal, and she would greet her former students with a cheerfil smile while peeking over the bar.
G'Day James, I have a 1960 T Bird running a 430 ci Pursuit. She's enjoying the sunshine just north of Brisbane in Queensland Australia. In your video I noticed two things, first, the rear windows had winding levers, I was under the impression that all Square Birds had electric windows. Secondly, it appears that your car has no external rear vision mirrors, are they missing or never attached from the factory?
Hi Wayne, crank windows front and rear were standard, and the external mirrors were optional. Some have no mirrors, some have a drivers side mirror, and some have both. There’s quite a few old original 50’s vintage pictures of square birds on the Internet with no mirrors. Thanks for your question!
YT algorithm brought me there. The car truly looks great!
Thanks! It is a great car. I am sure the new owners are over the moon on this car and can't wait for cruising season!
