I'm so glad you made this video series! I've done a lot of research over the last 2 years but it is wild that there are so few detailed experience videos on youtube. My surgery is the 16th of this month and this series has helped me feel a bit less anxious about it. It's helpful just seeing how things work the day of and beyond. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Oooo…. 10days left! Super exciting! Ditto, I did so much research that by the time it came to surgery day, I was actually excited about the whole thing! I am glad my vlogging was useful! I am lucky, because my surgeon really didn’t mind being filmed live in action. So I managed to film a lot of very natural and realistic interactions!
You read so well at the end!
I have never seen this well even with my glasses and contact lenses Alhumdulliah x
Allah pak apko jldi jldi bilkul sehat yab kr dain Aameeen

Get well soon
Thank you 😊
I have my surgery booked and I’m nervous on the discomfort! Was it hard to keep your eyes still and not wander? They give an option for an additional anaesthetic on top of sedation for nervous patients but I’m not sure if it’ll be necessary
There was no discomfort during the actual procedure. My surgeon kept the eye constantly wet, so I couldn’t feel anything. I honestly just kept my mind occupied like I was swimming in the ocean, that was the sensation.
I was originally long-sighted so I found myself a spot on the very patterned ceiling to stare at. There were times during the procedure were I couldn’t see anything so I had nothing to focus on. I just played statue with myself and stayed still. Once the lens was in place, I was fascinated with how clear the vision was up close and shifted my focus to the pixels in the LED bulb directly above me.
I didn’t want the additional sedation as I was genuinely fascinated during the whole process and loved it!
Allah Pak api ki Hifazat fermaye Ameen 🇵🇰
Inshallah x Jzk for all your duas x
Hi , I’m also from London and I’m considering this surgery. How much was this procedure?
Totally depends on what implants you need and your prescription. Best to give the clinic a ring. (You are looking at more than £5k but less than £10k)
How are ur eyes now
Any complications
No complications. Best thing I ever did!
Wowwowowow
Inshallah both you boys will get this when you are older!!! Need to practise contact lenses this summer with you! 🤩
Do you recommend this treatment after your experience?
Totally recommend having a consultation if glasses have started to bother you. If someone is suitable and needs this treatment, then yes I will would recommend after my experience. However it is an elective medical procedure, so should not be entered into lightly.
Please how much is visual icl done in London?
Is this Vision ICL contact or the Evo ones ? At 45:38 he says there is no hole in the middle ? So is there any advantage you think there is between the one with the hole and one without ?
Hi 👋🏼
Only the myopia (short sight) ones have the hole. I am hyperopia (long sighted) with astigmatism, so it doesn’t come with the hole.
The advantage of the hole is that it maintains the IOP (intra ocular pressure).
Because mine didn’t have the hole, I needed an extra procedure where a laser created a hole in my iris to maintain the IOP. (See the other videos in this playlist on my channel to watch that procedure).
Hope that helps ✌🏼
@@KhansaMaliks Thanks for clarifying I was confused a bit haha.
Salams @khansa Malik, hope your well. I have decided to go ahead with the ICL surgery with Dr Hamada. I was going to get it done from another clinic in London but opted for this one in the end. InshaAllah the surgery is next month on a Friday with the follow up on a Monday. I had a few questions, is it ok to email you or just drop it in the comments ?
How exciting! Drop them in the comments, most questions are generic, so should be able to help others. Have a look at the other videos in the ICL playlist on my channel, you might find the answers. I have another follow up video to upload yet also. May do a Q&A with my other friend who also got it done if there are enough questions to answer…. Happy to help. (Please note this would not be clinical advice)
@@KhansaMaliks Thanks. In terms of your surgery and preparation is there anything you would do differently?
Did you stay over after your surgery or go back home? I'm still in 2 minds whether to stay in London for the night and travel back home the next day, it's about a 2 hour journey for us.
@@gazza477 watch the aftercare video, I explain how I went shopping straight after surgery! 🫶🏼
You definitely don’t need to stay overnight anywhere. You can safely go home.
Alhumdulliah I am happy with my preparation for the surgery. I stopped wearing my contact lenses well before surgery and I was really good with supplements. I took a lot of Vit C and Omega supplements as I really wanted to heal quickly with no scarring.
@@gazza477 what I would do differently is not use retinol 0.5% on the face the week of surgery!! My skin was super sore around my eyes, but totally self inflicted.
@@KhansaMaliks jzk khair for your reply. Will look into vitamin C and Omega supplements. How long were you there for including the surgery? my surgery is at 3:30, I'm assuming we will be there for about 3 hours. How long were your eyes sensitive to light and you needed to wear sunglasses ? I know it varies from person to person, just wanted an indication. I watched all your videos a couple of months ago, will watch them again. I still have about 7 weeks for my surgery
After how long can you wear eye makeup?
Hi 👋🏼
I don’t actually wear eye makeup, so I’m not sure exactly when! Best to ask your surgeon at the consultation. Sorry!
How long did the image take to sharpen? Did you notice improvements day by day? Thanks
The vision was sharp straight away. I could see better than my glasses or contact lenses straight after surgery. Day by day it was just my brain needing to adjust to being able to see so clearly! I actually got a headache from the over stimulus of clarity I had never had before. 🤯
@@KhansaMaliks that’s interesting. I’m 3 days post op just waiting for my vision to sharpen up a bit. Think it is different for everyone I have seen some people said it took up to 2 weeks. Glad yours is great now
@@torquesporttv9078 it will probably depend on your eye ‘calming’ down after surgery and then if will hopefully clear. I felt taking high dose Vit C really helped my eye clear up, especially after my first iridotomy treatment.
@@KhansaMaliks thanks that’s a good idea. Oh by the way Dr Hamada also did my surgery. I’ve known him 8 years :D
I’ll load up on some vitamins tonight thank you for the reminder :)
@@torquesporttv9078 wow! You’ve known him longer than I have. I followed his work and lectures for 2years before I picked him as my surgeon. He was impressed with my immune system at clearing all the post surgery pigment! 😂
How long does recovery take following surgery?
I had surgery on a Friday, follow up on the Monday and went to work on the Tuesday. I chose to stay at home over the weekend, only because I couldn’t wash!! The drops were all finished after 4 weeks.
@@KhansaMaliks Do you have to completely stay away from looking at computers or phones?
@@yanghu5997 no, not at all. I did genuinely be on best behaviour regarding dry eye management out of choice. I used all my dry eye drops, increased all my Omegas in my diet and took supplements! My eyes had never been healthier! Im totally relaxed again now though.
I go over it in the follow up aftercare vlogs. Subscribe to the channel so you see when I upload the next two visits. I haven’t edited them yet!
