  • All foreign licences during Iraq’s latest oil licensing round went to China, and none to major European or American players.
As the Middle Eastern country rebuilds after years of occupation and fighting, it’s China that appears to be reaping the rewards of stability, importing nearly half of Iraq's oil.
But China, too, has something that Iraq wants - solar technology.
Stuart Smith takes a look at what increasing energy interdependence means for the two countries.

I remember there’s a story of a Chinese guy went to Iraq starting a restaurant when Iraq war first started, the guy makes fortune.
I am a DXY guy my self but
kinda worried about RMB composition in asset allocation, if it’s constantly involved with these instability regions the credit of RMB might be damaged to certain aspect if it consider the region security into consideration and it always do.
which means my U.S dollar might get damaged because it was entangled, China can dump as much U.S dollar as they want but the region they get into with RMB is still loading up dollars…even Russia some of the people still hiding is dollar somewhere it’s hard to say what’s fault and what’s not, but generally peace and stability is what most people wanted. (But it’s sorta like a trap because peace enforcement cost more than stuff I mentioned, so unless China 10x 20x the military budget it’s not likely to have what people in this channel wanted, also if China 10x 20x Singapore will sweat really hard 😂, but who cares I don’t live in Singapore)
