The only thing I had to add that wasn't in the instructions was to create a "roms" folder in the wii64 that I sent over to my SD card. I followed the rest of the instructions to a T and I was playing Mario 64 in about 5 mins. I couldn't freaking believe it. A+++++ on a vid that still works almost 3 years later.

Conker's Bad Fur Day does work on Wii64 put it on Pure Interp, It's playable but only 3 FPS, It works MUCH better on Not64 on Dynarec with FB textures on and Audio at DL.

For any of you w Wii U Pro Controllers, the control stick will for some reason be tilting a direction so Classic Pro Controllers and Gamepad is best for these especially games like snowboard kids

@@user-nv6jc6ln9w kind of. I found the wii64 compatability list (google), which shows you which emulator (wii64/rice/not64) works best or at all with each game. That list also tell you which version of the emulator works best with each game, and if any modifications to settings like video, audio, or cpu core, or if needs overclock on. And then you can either try to find forwarders others have put online such as at a gbatemp thread Goldeneye on the Wii U (post #20 by pedro702), or thread Latest Emulator Updates forum and look at posts by danny pages 1 and 13.
Or you can make your own forwarder with teconmoon for the specific version of the specific emulator based on which specific game you want to play at the time... Which I'm not sure if you noticed this yet from this wall of text but all this is highly tedious and annoying. I set mine up so I can play goldeneye, smash remix, and conkers. But most games even on the proper emulator/version/settings have weird audio glitches and framerate speedups/slowdowns, that I kinda recommend not bothering. I've had a better experience with VC injects using uwuvci and refer to Wii U VC n64 inject compatibility list. Not all games work that way either, but some at least run perfect like the original.

If you boot into virtual wii without a forwarder. The overclocking will undo itself. Any wii homebrew that can be forwarded too will be improved by signc2w slightly

@GameInCanada any chance for an update to this? A lot of people are giving attention to the wii u lately because of the recent announcement. I'm wondering if you might be able to give an update with overclocking any newer 64 emulator, such as not64 or wii64 rice. I'm not completely sure that the sign c2w patcher from this method is currently working or not on Tiramisu, because when I play a rom I seem to get performance stutters in the same spots regardless of whether I ran sign c2w first or not.
Any help would be much appreciated =)

@@GameInCanada But...if I'm not wrong, Nintendont only supports GC titles (and Wii somehow ?). Would've been useful for N64 tho. But if this N64 emulator does support Classic Controllers, we could use a GC to Wiimote adapter to make it work, right ?
So I followed your method first but then I discovered Wii64 with Rice that had greater compatibility. However, once I installed Rice I noticed the emulator crashes a lot more often and requires the system being reset. I know this video is old but do you have any ideas or suggestions? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

@@GamingASMR_x most of the ones that are on the compatibility list, sometimes it’s just one little thing you have to adjust to get them to run. But I’ve ran successfully banjo-kazooie, cruisin world, diddy Kong racing, doom 64, ecw hardcore revolution, extreme G, f zero x, goldeneye, loz ocarina of time, nuclear strike 64, smash bros, wwf no mercy and wrestle mania 2000. And I have other N64 games installed but directly to the Wii U as virtual console games like Mario 64, star fox 64, Mario kart 64 etc... hope that helps...
Any new developments since you posted this video? isn't N64 compatibility better via VC injects, than the over clocked emulator?

someone broke down the multipalyer in the comments, i havent heard of a new update to this version since release of this video. yes n64 injects generally work better but apparently some games work fine in this mode vs injects, idunno.

just go search up wiiuiso and get an adblocker, viola! And, you have access to injects of pretty much all nintendo consoles. Gamecube, wii gb etc.

after installing the wup N64 the emulator launches but it stays on a black screen after the n64 logo appears :(. This worked before but not anymore. I wonder what happened :/ Any hints ?
Does overclock damage the console or anything? how is this emulator without overclocking. Also have you had any crashes happen?
This has worked really well for me, but I prefer the GamePad, but on the GamePad the game is stretched. This happened on both 4:3 and 16:9.

Hi, I have a problem that overclocking does nothing. Game was running at 20 FPS before and its running at 20 FPS now. I ran it in OpenEmu to see if it has a FPS cap, but it seemed to be running in 30 FPS. Do you know the reason for this?

I'm trying to run a 4 player game for Mario party through virtual wii but the screen blacks out when splitscreened or moving graphics. I'm thinking there's too much input from the four controllers or the graphics aren't to speed. If I download and run sign c2w patcher through virtual Wii, will that solve the issue or eh?

In your video, you have two files in your "rom" folder which are not included in your zip folder: fcube.v64 and wii64.z64. Two questions: What are these files and are they needed?
Those are the games. You have to get them on your own. That's the format the N64 games should be in

Before you know it I had bought three Wii U’s and it’s my most played console for awhile. Now I’ve moved on a little to my Series X and my modded Gamecube but I still use my Wii U all the time. I feel kinda guilty I didn’t support the system when it was new but… I could see the writing on the wall.

I know this is kind of an old video, but any help would be appreciated. I watched your video for WiiSXR and since that worked fine I tried the emulator in this video. The emulator was working fine a few days ago, but now when I load it no input will work, but it works fine on WiiSXR. I have already checked my SD Card to make sure I had the right files, and I have started the signc2wpatcher and I am confused as to why it won't work. It says that the Wii64 emulator has gamepad support but when I open it none of my input will work.
sorry i really dont know what to tell you that is quite strange and i havent heard of it before, some games maybe arent compatible or maybe your input settings in the emulator got switched around and playing wtih them in wiisxr might help - sorry really have no idea

When I downloaded the zip file and I extract the content the wiiu64 "room folder" is gone and idk if I should just add a folder and it would work. Does anybody had the same issue? 🤔
Haha the menu button is actually Y and X together. You can change this from wii64's settings. For wiisxr it's the home button, can also be changed to Y and X. At first I was so confused when I tried wii64 because I couldnt' exit a game like I could with wiisxr.

Update on my last comment, so I’ve noticed even if the controllers are all ok, inputs are just weird as hell for some games w a Wii U Pro controller like Snowboard Kids 2 and Puyo Puyo Sun. SBK2 has your guy automatically moving in the hub and you can’t flip diagonally. Puyo Puyo Sun for some reason has this thing where when you press right on the Dpad it also presses A on both Wii U Pro & Classic Controller, yet it works fine 1 player on the gamepad. Went back to SBK2 w just one player on gamepad and it works fine. I’ve already injected Sun to the menu which works fine so I’ll probrably learn to inject the rest I don’t have or work better w multiplayer. Custom Robo 64 translated to English for some reason never wants to save for me 🤷🏼♂️

+SirGamedCrazed go to matt kimuras tutorial in the description and follow his 3rd method. And if it solves your problen then you have the strange/rare issue where your wiiu doesnt accept wii/gc/emulator injects.

When I go to the SD Card option, it has a problem starting up the list from my SD card's path of the roms.
When I launch the emulator it shows there aren't any controllers connected and the gamepad does not respond. I am stuck at the selection screen. Any help?

In the download link zip file, one of the folders is "apps." in the video it looked like you copied that folder to the root of the sd card, but shouldn't it be in sd/wiiu/apps?

solved.. i ran blue harvest to clean the sd... must have been a hidden file. using mac. thanks
what is this blue harvest? im having the same error on windows
It's an app that removes hidden files etc that can interfere with roms
Retro arch recommended using it with Mac's.

I got the files from one of those Spanish videos , but not sure I want to install that into my system just yet.
Apparently, Not64 can give much better results on some games and some won't work at all but will on Wii64.
So this is supposed to make the vWii faster so I can play more than nothing?

There isnt much compatibility for either, so between the two you might get better performance out of the other. This is really just to show that a slight performance increase can come from this cool trick of unlocking the wiius processor for vwii
The wiiu is the ultimate console
So I do everything and it work but when I stop and return I press the wii64 icon and then it says “there is been a error please reset the console” I did it wrong or everything is wrong help 😰
everytime you turn on wii u or go out of wii mode (wii64 is also wii mode) you need to run cfw again

Got it going! But its just like the og Wii emulator. It is quicker but even Mario Kart was slow. I mean it played almost good, pretty much normal but the sound was choppy and distorted. I swear, everytime I try emulate N64 it never works. I have it on my Switch where its almost perfect but still not. Even on PS3 n 360 its not perfect. Crazy. They seem years apart in terms of hardware development but oh well, nothing beats an Everdrive in an original console. Or the original cart of course :p I don't usually even try emulation with N64 anymore. Dunno how u had it play normal in your vid cause Mario Kart should b the quickest shouldn't it?
