I remember when Revolution Radio first came out I noticed how multiple songs on it had titles that were lyrics in other Green Day songs. Glad I’m not the only one who noticed!
Green Day was the first band I got into in like 2014 so I remember vividly when they announced it and checking the website and everything, good ole days lmao
Homecoming has a LOT of subtle vocals that I still can't tell what they say, not even the final part where he literally starts screaming in the background
@@altdechet5075that’s just ‘home, were coming home again’ unless you meant tre screaming, then I have no idea what he says but im pretty sure I can hear a ‘fuck you’ somewhere
they did, stuck with me was supposed to be the name of do da da but they accidentally released stuck with me with that name. so when they released shenanigans they had to make up "do da da" as a new name
The story I read was that Dodada was goimg to be on the album and they changed their minds after the tracklisting was already announced, but because the original title worked with the song that they swapped in they just left it as it was.
I would like to know the hours, days, or weeks of time that went into cross referencing the titles of every song with every other song’s lyrics, then actually finding the clips and editing them together. I respect the hustle.
I personally loved how the band used titles as lyrics from some of their songs, it gives the albums a little bit of depth and it is actually fun to look out for stranded song titles. It is very noticeable with American idiot and 21st Century Breakdown, and once you listen to it all you might think "Oh! It's all connected!" Love it.
