I have no problem with rappers having the Nicki Aesthetic just as long as their lyrical as well. However, I'm loving this new influx of different aesthetics. We got; Lakeyah, Bia, Enchanting, Monaleo, Coi Leray, Kandie, and Kalii! We havent had a major mainstream female rapper with locs since Lauryn (Khia). Women are kicking doors off the hinges!!! 😩🙌🏾

The artists themselves need to realize that if labels or managers are telling them to replicate nicki is because they don't believe in them, they just want money. And who doesn't but it shouldn't be at their expense. Put the barz into it, put hard work, labelled should start supporting individuality of female rappers, I mean there was a time if you emulated Nicki's sound or image ppl would still support you but now we are getting tired of hearing the same mess and Nicki knockoffs. I've been thinking about this a lot, something that you briefly mentioned at the beginning... Nicki Minaj's influence on the ENTIRE western culture's idea of female beauty standards. She influenced so much, from makeup and body standards to music and fashion. Not high fashion (that will always be the super skinny beauty standards) but of beauty standards within pop culture and the general public. Female celebrities copied after her, and a lot of general public aspires to look like them, and so her influence has spread in multiple ways through these other people. I even think that Nicki has an influence on how a lot of women now get face and brow lifts, because she naturally already has that appearance in her eye shape. I'm so glad you voiced briefly what I've been thinking for a long time now, and I would love to hear your thoughts more on it. Because I feel like this whole generation's beauty standards have been inspired heavily by Nicki. I understand she didn't do it all first, but she did reinvent and popularize a lot of things IMO. I wish there could be research done by sociologists and historians about this sort of thing lol, I find the topic really interesting.

It’s so sad 😢 I love Lil Wayne but he really brainwashed & influenced A LOT of impressionable minds, including my own... She should have done the selling sex and ALso have lyrics. But she did a bit in her freestyle/mixtape and no body heard that. Maybe she needs to consistently push for her fans to hear her lyricism
